I didn't graduate from high school but still keep in touch with many of the people I would have graduated with. Should I still be able to go to the reunion?

As I've said, I didn't graduate. I do want to go to the Reunion but I'm not sure if I would be elegible. I'm editing the details to this for the simple fact that the first time some people ***_U_ME_D that because I didn't graduate meant that I have NO EDUCATION! Well I do have my GED, and I did go to college, and I am one homework assignment and a test away from becoming a Certified Activity Director.

If you can get someone to take you as their guest, you will be able to go. But you know, the people who organize the reunions are generally former classmates. Contact them to ask if you are eligible to get a ticket. Reunions are usually unofficial functions and they are only orchestrated by the class.

So, first I'd ask the class if I can participate. If they tell you no, see if one of your friends who did graduate with the class can get you a ticket. If that doesn't work, attend as many of the functions that you can without the ticket. Like picnics etc.

Congratulations on not giving up, pursuing your GED and college! You go girl!!!!

Of course not! It's a reunion for people who GRADUATED that year. And, why in God's name didn't you finish school!!!! Short of an illness, there is no excuse for not graduating. So, go for your GED -- can't get much of a job without one.

Yes you should go and be part of the reunion just as you were part of the class. Nobody really cares that you were not part of the graduating group but they knew you were there and part of their lives during the school year.

You really should contact the person in charge of the reunion and talk to them and see what they have to say about it. Some schools have requirements that you have to meet in order to go to the reunions. It all depends on the school and the area you live in. You could also contact the school you went to and see what information they can give you. Otherwise I say go for it and have fun.

Yes: A garduated class Dose not mean that you cant go and injoy yourself
with the kids you went to school with a reunion means just that its a reunion of your fellow class mates if you graduated or not so go and injoy.

No, it is for those that put forth the effort and graduated together. Its a reunion of the graduating class not for the dropouts.

I don't see why you couldn't go to the reunion. It's not usually that formal of an affair. I don't think anybody wouldn't let you in. If you're not sure if you're invited, go as an invited guest of one of the friends that your still in contact with.

I think so. There's no "rule" as to who qualifies to go. It would be different if reunions were free, but it's just like prom - you've got to shell out to go.

If you haven't gone to college though, it would really be in your best interest to at least get your ged. you don't want to be the 40 year old woman working at Jack in the Box at the cash register.
