You haven't missed anything! Picture Daisy Duke. Now picture her top half. Something pushed those puppies up and out! Therefore, a cheesecake bra. Back in the olden days, "cheesecake" was a term used for those beautiful girls who were a little edgy, who were a big cheeky and showed almost a little bit too much. More current is the man's term - you must have heard of "beefcake". So, there ya go. A history lesson and a visit to the lingerie store, all in one.

Yes, "cheesecake shots" were what the likes of Marilyn Monroe posed for in magazines early on in her career in the late 1940's and early 1950's in tight sweater tops. I don't have a clue why they're called that though! I wouldn't have thought that having a bust that resembled a cheesecake would be something many women would aspire to! All spongey and sticky on top but crumbly underneath.....nice!

Cheesecake used to be a term people used for pin-up girls back in the 50's. So a cheesecake bra would be one that made the girl look like a "girl who might do it" - wow. Has the language ever changed!!

Beefcake the expression for guys.
In those days nudity was not acceptable like now so garments had to do the selling of the idea of sex. Bras were the ideal sales pitch.

I don't know, but the people that's already answered you today says its an old saying that they used to call women's boobs. If my boobs were called that, ( I would think they thought I had cellulite in my breast. )!!!
