So some of you say they take all our jobs, then some of you say they expect a handout and welfare. Which is it?
If they are always working taking our jobs, how do they have time to go to a government office and apply for welfare?
Now are you telling the truth or are you just spreading hate and lies like nasty little kids?

illegals do take jobs that most people don't want, landscaping, working the fields picking fruit, cotton etc. work in mills and factories, housing construction, often at lower pay and are paid
somewhat under the table that means illegals pay no taxes because illegals have no reportable income. this being the case
illegals can apply for most services that require little identification of their status, illegals can get a drivers license, even vote with out a picture i.d. in most states. as far as finding time, who has it any way, but you will find the time to get your license renewed or to update your insurance policy or the other life events that require you to be in person. i think this touches a little on your question of illegals. me thinks that you maintain duel citizenship
with Canada and the U.S. is because of the government services
Canada offers that the U.S. doesn't offer, and the type of life style that you can only get in the U.S.

The jobs they are "taking" are usually menial, low paying, hard labor type jobs. So it is hard to make an argument that they are taking our jobs. However, welfare is another issue. They are not given out right welfare in many cases. The drain on the system comes from taking education, health care, municipal benefits without paying for them or paying taxes into the system to help fund them. Workers often bring several family members or others with them. If they are able to obtain illegal documents that are not well scrutinized they are often given welfare benefits in the form of foodstamps and low income housing. There is also a huge drain on our law enforcement. In our area nearly all domestic and violent crime is with in the Hispanic communities. Usually against each other, sometimes spilling out into other areas. Hate has nothing to do with the dollar amount illegal immigration is costing this country. Legal, documented, workers and students are welcome here. They must follow the laws, pay taxes and not bring large numbers of independents with them.

mostly illegal immigrants ( Salvadorans, Mexicans, Guatemalans or whatever ) are people with low if any education at all, you probably have noticed that no engineers, doctors, lawyers or accountants are ever found sneaking in into your country, these people go there and make your life easier, they become your maids, gardeners, crop pickers and stuff like that, are those the jobs you are craving for? because if it is so, then by all means become a big got, a racist or whatever you would just be defending your right to get into those lucrative job markets, and no they do not get undue benefits because for whatever they buy they pay sales taxes and since they cant claim any deduction they serve to pay for your student loans and grants. Just think what the cost of living would be without this cheap labor, it works more to your advantage than not. But I agree there have to be rules you can not open the doors and let everybody in that would not good but you have to be rational about it is not just hate them because you dont like them.

That's conservative/republican propaganda .
Most people don't know what's going on, it's a mess.

Some illegals are living worst than they do in their country and some illegals are rich and not even working.

Everybody has their own reasons to be in the USA, that's why it's so complicated.
Also, some Americans are living illegaly in other countries. I do extensive traveling so I know a few americans in that situation.
they enter with a tourist visa and exit before it expires and then back, and they keep doing it for many years.
So, Americans at home should open their eyes and their mind and see what's really going on.

Certain people are angry that the US might protect its own borders, might make it harder to sneak into this country and, once here, to stay indefinitely. Let me see if I correctly understand the thinking behind these protests.

Let's say I break into your house. Let's say that when you discover me in your house, you insist that I leave. But I say, "I've made all the beds and washed the dishes and did the laundry and swept the floors; I've done all the things you don't like to do. I'm hard-working and honest (except for when I broke into your house).

According to the protesters, not only must you let me stay, you must add me to your family's insurance plan, educate my kids, and provide other benefits to me and to my family (my husband will do your yard work because he too is hard-working and honest, except for that breaking in part). If you try to call the police or force me out, I will call my friends who will picket your house carrying signs that proclaim my right to be there.

It's only fair, after all, because you have a nicer house than I do, and
I'm just trying to better myself. I'm a hard-working and honest, person, except for well, you know.

And what a deal it is for me!! I live in your house, contributing only a
fraction of the cost of my keep, and there is nothing you can do about it without being accused of selfishness, prejudice and being an anti-housebreaker. Oh yeah, I want you to learn my language so you can communicate with me.

Why can't people see how ridiculous this is?! Only in America....if you agree, pass it on (in English). Share it if you see the value of it as a good smile. If not blow it off along with your future Social Security funds, and a lot of other things.

There is nothing wrong with immigration...it is what our country was founded on... the system is what is broken, the laws are creating the problems... for example there is a federal law stating that no one can be turned away for health care even if they don't have insurance or money and they come to an emergency room...but do you think the Feds repay the state of AZ for the costs associated w/emergency room visits by illegals...

also, there is a law, right now that subsidizes companies to leave the US and set up shop in foreign countries in order to support the "global village"... those jobs aren't lost to illegals, and the govt. subsidizes them...

then there are the businesses who hire illegals, everyone turns the other cheek, there are no ramifications for them for hiring illegals...

finally...what about fair wages...the illegals who do come here are being exploited by being paid below market wages for taxing and hard labor...

So...illegal immigration is a tough nut to crack and there needs to be a total overhaul on the whole system...

I think the Defense Department has the right idea..."serve our country" and earn your citizenship!

first illegals get fake id's, social security cards, green crds, etc.
then they apply for all the food stamps, and any other welfare they can get including free medical.
then they find jobs which are paid in cash so they don't have to pay taxes.
A lot of these jobs would go to americans if the illegals were not here and willing to work for lower wages (because they pay no tax and live off welfare).
I'm sure I am wasting my time trying to enlighten you because your head is probably like concrete, all mixed up and permanently set.

It is all part of the current conservative attitude in America. They fear outsiders. This has always been the way. Every group which has come here has faced oppression. The main difference now is numbers. the current wave, mainly Latin American, is changing the face of America. This country will be more Hispanic influenced over the next few decades. Once they are established, people will calm down.

My problem with illegal immigrants is that they have more rights than I do as a U.S. citizen. If they want to come to my country illegally and start getting food stamps, they can do that. If they want to go visit doctors and can't afford to pay, we foot the bill. Remember, they are here illegally, so they obviously don't pay any taxes to contribute to these welfare programs. Also, their children go to schools speaking no English and we are expected to hire additional teachers to remediate and teach their children English. I have no problem with LEGAL immigrants, but I know that if I went to another country illegally, I would not be getting the benefits they get by sneaking into our country illegally.
