You will have to ask him. If you know your son real well, you will know if he is lying to you. Ignore all the answers accusing you of eavesdropping. You are just a concerned parent looking out for the well being of your child. When I was growing up, the rule in my house was it was my Mom's house. Therefore she had the right to listen and look at whatever she wanted. I agree with her policy now and I did then. It wasn't always convienent, but it worked. It kept me out of trouble. I think a lot of problems today are because parents don't get proactive.

I can't imagine anything you could get 20 of for 100. Maybe he was saying 20 grams of pot for $100 or 20 e pills for $100. Depends on where u live and nice of a friend he was talking to because he'd be getting a good deal. Sorry if that concerns you. It could be something totally different. Does he play video games because guys tend to trade game items so it could be that too.

you should've asked him right on the spot so that he would have had no time to think of an answer and check out his reaction. He most likely is talking about Ecstasy pills or Acid tabs. Weed is not sold like that ... nor can you get 20 grams for a hundred.

You know that it could be anything. It might not be drugs ... it might be cheat sheets. Maybe he was talking about t shirts.

It looks like you guys need to have more of an open relationship. You should've been able to ask him.

well it does sound suspicious, but you really shouldn't be eaves dropping.
on the other hand though my son is only ten months old and i could imagine my self getting concerned if i over heard him say something like that.
i know just how secretive teenagers can be but that doesn't necessarily mean they are doing anything wrong.
i would say don't worry about it.
if u are worried about drugs or something maybe u can just keep one eye on his behaviour, just quietly if u notice a change or start to get worried then say something.
but still just don't worry too much about it as a parent you are guaranteed to worry about alll sorts of things.
hope i helped a little.

Honesty is always the best policy. Just say you happened to overhear part of the conversation and got a alarmed about what you overheard. Assume nothing! It could be something simple like baseball cards. A good parent is supposed to be nosey to keep our kids safe. :)

Just ask him. Even if he lies open the lines of communication.
Plus I think you need to be concerned with every aspect of his life.
He is 16 and trying to be a young man but still trying to hang on to being a kid. Good luck!

i would say he's talking about prescription drugs, like adderals or oxycodones, but that's only if I had a reason to believe he was into that kind of stuff, like him being secretive, having friends I didn't know, acting like he's high. How well do you know your kid?
I'm not saying you should make this assumption, but if your gut talls you he's up to no good, I'd start looking for the pill bxes (or talk to him, at least!)

Sounds like it could be drugs, but does he have that much money? I would just ask him and explain why you are concerned.

well you know your child best so only you can know concerned to be...if i was you i might be concerned it could be nothing...but my first thought would be drugs....probably pills of some kind. but really it could be anything.

and just to add to an above comment....it doesnt have to be prescription drugs...it could be illegal drugs too!!!!!!!! i'd definately ask him straight out.

The best thing to do would be to ask him if you are concerned.
