i don't see my job threatened by anyone so i don't have to tell u what my job is . however from what i seen many of those who say to be worried do one thing all day and that is to be in front of the computer all day . so i guess they are worried about seeing someone taking their chair in front of the computer .

Well I'm not worried about my job as you need to have a degree and illegals barely graduate high school much less college, however, I am worried for people that do labor jobs. Jobs that used to pay $15 hr (ish)..are now paying $6 an hr. because co.'s are finding cheap labor internally without even having to outsoure. Illegals are pushing down wages and hurting Americans like crazy. Who can live on $6 an hr. really? They can cause there's 20 in a house to pay rent or whatever. You think the gap between the have and have nots is wide now??? HA HA HA wait till they become the majority in about 50 yrs. The gap between the have and have nots will be the size of the Grand Canyon. This country only exploits them for its own good...so really the joke is on them but they have NO idea or they don't give a crap.

It is not about being an american or not where I work, it is about doing the job right. So I guess some people might feel threatened by that.
Not me, if I do my job right and show up every day then they will have no reason to hire someone else.
American or otherwise...

I'm a web designer, and Mexicans aren't an issue, but I can't compete with people in India and still have enough to eat.

Its a global market now. Mexicans are the least of our concerns.

AS I've posted before I'm not worried about an illegal taking my job as it is an absolute requirement (at my place of employment )that we speak English and not Spanglish.

It seems to be mainly manual labor jobs, like landscaping, construction, food preparation, machinists... etc.

They don't have work permit. The only line of work they can be in is manual labor.
