First you need to born of the spirit of God:
Romans 10:9 and 10. To confess the lord jesus is to confess Jesus as lord.
Then, you need to understand that being born of the spirit of God gives you complete access to the power and authority of God that Christ had.
Then you need to understand that the name of Christ is symbolic for the pwoer and authority of Christ and that God and christ are both greater then the devil spirits and so is anyone born again of God.
Then just tell the devil spirits to go, knowing that God has given you the authority to do so, and the power to do so and that the devil spirits have to obey and that they are scared of the power of god.
And never listen to them. They only lie. They will even try to convince you that you have no power over them. Do not listen. Tell them to go with full authority and really expect them to.
The best places to look for this information is the gospels (the walk of christ and training of the apostles). Acts (the story of the first century church). Romans (Paul's epistle that teaches who we are and how to be what God has made us) and ephesians (Teaches the rest of the story from romans).
And please, go and do. We need more people going out there and doing. Blow the enemy away with the power of God and everywhere you go, God will be with you.

There is one scripture that says this kind goes out not but by prayer and fasting. It's in one of the Gospels, that means that sometimes you can command them to leave in Jesus name and sometimes you need to fast and pray before you command them to leave in Jesus name.
He who is in us is greater than he that is in the world.
We have been seated in heavenly places FAR ABOVE principalities and powers with Christ Jesus.
