A cup worth all day. So half a cup in the morning and half at night. Always make sure you leave fresh water. ALso take the bowl away after eating, even if it isn't empty, clearly they have had enough and it will help with potty training. This will increase in a few months to a cup at each serving.

Your puppy's need for food is going to increase quickly over the next few months.
With a puppy in good health (no worms) And using a premium food, (Purina 1 or better) it should have been at about 2 cups/day at 8 weeks, and it's needs could easily increase to three cups/day at 12 weeks. An adult Lab will eat between 4-5 cups/day, but at their peak growth period (6-9 months) they can easily need half again what they will need as an adult.
The key is "fat rolly polly puppy = dysplastic adult", so observing the condition of your puppy is far more important than an exact measurement of it's food. See the pup getting to fat, reduce the amount by a 1/4 cup, pup looks to slim, increase the food by a 1/4 cup. NOTE: Never try to reduce or increase a dogs weight to quickly.

you vet may be the better one to answer this question. depending on what brand food you are using, (i am hoping a large breed pup formula), look at the bag there should be a recommended daily amount on it for your pups weight now, what i would do is take the recommended daily amount and divide it into 2 or 3 servings per day, as he grows and gains weight the recommended amount will change. i say three if you are at home during lunch, otherwise, make it two. i am a firm believer in a twice a day feeding schedule.

twice a day and it depends on the type of food you are feeding.
since labs are large breeds don't keep him on puppy food too
long, ask your vetanarian for professional advice. the food should
have a label with the recomondations of feeding, around 1-2
cups daily.most people over feed their puppies but your
vetanarian can supply you with that depending on the food type your using.

It really depends on the weight of your puppy and how he/she eats and your schedule....I would put out 4 cups of puppy food let your puppy eat until he/she will not eat anymore and figure the amount that is left, and then feed the amount that he/she could eat for a week, then you will have to start over every week since puppies grow quickly...

He prefers the treats and things he finds on the ground. Cut back on treats and be sure you are feeding a quality food. Don't give in.
