Go with the colors that you like. Don't let someone else influence you. Although if you want your bridesmaids to be happy and want to reuse their dresses on other festive occasions, you could ask them to go dress shopping with you. Show them what you like in the colors you like and then compromise with them. You could go with a nice red and pink combination that should be nice for everyone. Good luck.

Red can be tricky - because you don't want it to look like the red cross or Christmas - so you need to do A LOT of background softer colors if you do red. Here's some suggestions: since it is Spring - I love the combo of pink and light green for all of your linens, etc - Then use red flowers. Your bridesmaids could wear pink, celedoon or sage green - or champange - a light gold or taupe color!
I have also seen hot pink infused in the flowers and the linens and that looks great too! I would suggest bouquets in red, pink and fuchsia - then linens in light pink, taupes, light greens and fuchsias - If you want to put some green in the bouquets - use a touch of light green hydrangea. This will be bright, springy and elegant for a wedding. My source I use for great colored and inexpensive linens is dressmychair.com. They have the best prices and ship natiowide. You could order samples and play around with the colors. But just remember - you need to stay away from white tablecloths and white napkins -think muted color against the bright floral color- other things can be white - but the tabelcloths and napkins - will make it look to valentines/red cross - not as elegant. Good LUCK!!

Light Pink and red sound good but you should throw in a little something that will pop out of them two colors like a (pear green or pea green) The green won't be real bright but it will go good with the two bright colors. The green could be the back drop like green table clothes and then cover with red and pink decorations... it will look great do some samples. the girls could wear red or pink dresses with green accents, guys could have the green in their tuxes. But its your wedding you pick what you want!!!

You could do a spring mix - do a yellow and cobalt blue with the red. Throw in some jewel tone purple, too. Try to use the colors sparingly, do most of it in white. If you do mostly white and accent with the heavier colors you'll still pull the spring bouquet look.
Don't drop the red - if you love it, you should have it! Many congratulations!!!!

I would do just do pure red, light pink, a bright crisp white, and a chartreuse (its like a green). These colors together would look beautiful together.
Best luck with your wedding,
Ruby Red Rose

red and white is good together. Red,black and white looks really good together. It's your wedding and you do whatever colors you want. But I suggest that if you do red and pink add white to it also. Best of luck

I'm doing a fall wedding with the colors of scarlet, pumpkin, apple green, magenta, and gold highlights. Don't feel that you pnly have to stick with 2 colors for your wedding. I adore the combo of red, orange and pink, even for a spring wedding...with gerber dasies and white lillies?

I really like the idea of the red, orange and yellow. Spring it up with some really deep green (not a hunter green but not a neon green, something in the middle..like a spring green...) accents to give it that *springy* feel instead of fall.

If you are going for a spring wedding i think you should stick with pink or pastels. Maybe its just me, but i think the season really affects the solor scheme.
