We are moving before the end of October for Nevada. Can I drive on a Illinois licence until I get one in Nevada. Will I be paying twice If I renew for a full year in Illinois.

If you are moving before the first of November, then wait until you get to Neveda to get your renewed license. All that is required when you are transfering license from one state to another, is for it to be current (expired). Most states require that you transfer your license within 10 working days of moving.

If you will be in Nevada before the Illinois one runs out, you are ok. Just get your new one as soon as you move in.

You should wait until you move and just pay once. You will be unable to cash checks or open a bank acct without one for your new address.
