it's true....
Many of these people complaining are people who have nothing else to do but to blame immigrants for their failures..
Immigrants are too damn busy looking for work or working to be arguing with people that express their ignorance..
anti-s just feel better saying their hateful comments on the internet because they know that they are safe hiding behind yahoo answers.
That's right, I said it... GET A JOB!!!!

There are plenty of defenders of the illegals on here ,where have you been ? Why should any ones opinion be checked? This is America honey we don't get checked. Its our right to say what we feel about the problem that we feel is caused by illegals coming into this country and demanding rights that are reserved for legal Americans. The pro illegals are busy telling us all how racist we are but they don't provide any prof that there is any good side of the illegal problem, except to the illegal themselves. But we do communicate our differences, and there are racists on both sides but the majority are decent people that are very frustrated by a problem that has gotten way out of control.

They shouldn't be in our country illegally. If they would just do the right thing and go back to Mexico where they belong (Yes - they belong there.) the "hate spewing" would stop. Why should they have a fair chance at defending themselves in the US anyway? This is not their home! If they don't like us, or the things we say, or the way we act, then they can leave at anytime.

No
Truth is some illegals really can't help falling into that situation.
I know many flaunt the system and they make it difficult for people such as myself who entered legally to get a fair go...but the truth is...quite a few are really down on their luck and can't go anywhere.
If some of you have ever been through the immigration process, you will also know, that doing everything legally is a waiting game..especially when you cannot work and life still happens.
To me i think the whole immigration issue seems more political then anything else. After all, Illegal immigration has been happening for years upon years..

No, absolutely not; this is a fairly free and open Q & A for the discussion of all things related to immigration. Just because you personally take offense to the current 'turn' of the topic does not mean that it should be removed. That would be like me saying that I am offended by the appearance of your avatar, so I think that you should be removed.....ridiculuous isn't it.

Wait.......are you trying to censor our freedom of speech?
The category belongs for two reasons:
1. Because the subject is among the top issues of the upcoming elections.
2. Looks like people want to discuss the topic. This is a good forum to vent, debate, or just talk about the issue.

With respect, Illegals are just that, they set themselves up, to a degree, to be exploited, just by being illegals!, Don't mis-understand me, that doesn't make it right, but it is what happens. Personally, I fail to see why, when I make every effort to come to US to work and be a part of this society, it should be made easier for someone who jumped in under the net, I know it's a big problem, and a difficult one, but try doing the same thing in some asian countries and you'll get yourself shot.

. . . you may be right because in essence, it's a serious issue - but too easy a target for funny, cynical and sarcastic Answers.
I've done it myself - but in the UK it's getting beyond a joke.
Today the EU Commission agreed to ascendancy into the European Union for Bulgaria and Romania and our Government immediately announced restrictions on entry to the UK from those countries, following the colossal underestimation of the number of eastern-europeans given ascendancy two years - estimated at 30,000 but instead exceeding 400,000 (that the Government know of).
So what's the Answer?

It gives people a place to prove why Americans are hated all over the world, intolerance, ethnocentrism, blatant racism and the list goes on. I completely understand what you are saying. It's almost depressing to see the hatred and rage displayed here.
