I just bought this 1992 Honda Accord 2 door car from a dealer worth $3200 plus cost of repair $560 last Aug 2006 (mileage was 153K). Now I found out that Im pregnant and I know that when I resell this car the price would be really low since everybody was saying that the dealer really ripped us off about the price. Is it safe to drive with a baby in a 2 door car? Im really worried.

it all depends on the number of seats, not the number of doors. if the front seat fold forward for access to a back seat, then its ok. carseats are made for the backseat. if your car is a 2-seater, rather than a 4 or 5 seater, then you should be more cautious. almost all carseat manufacturers guarantee that their carseats will be perfectly safe in the front seat if it is facing frontwards, but you shouldnt be so optimistic. in a crash your baby will almost certainly be injured in the front seat. follow the instuctions on the car seat or in the manual and ALWAYS HAVE YOUR CARSEAT IN THE BACK SEAT. your baby should remain a happy baby if kept in the back seat. BTW, you didnt get ripped off, its just that the accord has never had a high resale value =)

Your baby will be perfectly safe in an infant seat in the center rear. You may get a sore back from reaching over to buckle the rugrat in and out but have no worries about safety. (I raised three kids and drove them all over the place in 2 door cars)

Yeah it extremely is barely complicated artwork to get the vehicle seat in. A newborn is going in a rear dealing with automobile seat so all you will possibly prefer to do is pull between the front seats forward positioned the vehicle seat in and seatbelt it up then positioned the seat back. precisely comparable to you will possibly with a 5 door automobile different than you get entry to the back seat in yet otherwise.

your baby will b fine in car seat ,,back seat , its just going to be a little inconvenient to get the baby out/in in a 2 door.and the dealer always rips us off in some way......they wont lose money no matter what..so your not alone.

actually it's safer for a 2door than a 4 door. It may not be easier 2 get them in the back but, that way they can't open the door and fall out.

ummm....ya a 2 door car is safe for a baby if it's sitting in the back with a responsible adult in one of those "baby-seats"......

yes its perfectly safe - i dont know the laws where you are but here (england) you can have a child in the front seat in car seats aslong as there are no airbags in the front.
congratualtions btw
