I'm 13 and I really want to lose weight. I've tried starving myself but I couldn't do it(unfortunetly I was too smart).So if you know any way that's good and safe for me to lose weight please help!

Oh yeah I also forget to mention I'm a vegetarion so anything that includes meat isn't for me.

I'm the same way, I always lose weight in a healthy way.
you should try setting some rules for yourself like:
*run for 10 minutes every day, or walk pretty fast for 20 minutes.
*pick one day of the week(one day only) where you eat whatever you want! one day doesn't always make a difference in dieting right? do how would it if you were eating alot for one day? (mines on saturday)
*eat breakfast like a king 300-400 calories (I eat 300)
*eat lunch like a prince 200-300 calories (I PACK my lunch to make sure it is 200 for me, packing lunch is alot healthier thatn buying at school usually)
*eat dinner like a pauper 100-200 calories( it's your snack! try to make it before 7:00, the earlier you eat it, the more time in the day you have to burn it off!)
* try to be a naturally always-moving person, if you fidget or shake or move when you are sitting in class, you are burning calories very slowly. I sorta do this a little...:]
*drink lots of water, and not soda. I haven't had a soda in maybe 2- 3 months i think. try not to even drink juice, you can get that fruit in actual fruit!
*try to leave a little bit on your plate left over when you eat something.
*Fruits are always good for low calorie snacks! you can look up whats in them on the internet: http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/index.html
*if you have a choice of getting something sugar-free or lowfat you should probably get it instead. like sugar-free jello in the little boxes is VERY low in calories and you can put some cool whip free on that if you needed a dessert. also, try no sugar added applesauce containers, which are always 50 cals. each! compared to the sugar added ones which are 100 cals each. that means you can have 2 containers instead of one!
*make sure you use 2% kind of milk in cereal instead of whole.

* try to read nutrition facts often on things before you eat them.

ok well I hope this helps!
oh ya and this is what I ate today:

small bowl of regular cheerios with 2% milk and lowfat (100 cal.) orange creme yogurt.

then 1 applesauce, yogurt again (lol i dont usually do that by the way) and also a boiled egg( yolk is 60 cal, egg white is ONLY 15 cal)
and lastly 3 cups of plain popcorn. (30 calories a cup)

The best way to lose weight is a balance of exercise and nutrition. Lets start with nutrition. You need to count calories. An average person eats about 2000 calories a day. you need to cut that by half. So eating about 1000 to 1500 calories a day is good. Try eating smaller portions. Also, you probably have a slow metabolism. Try eating 5 small meals a day. Include a lot of fruits and vegetables. Exercise is the hard but fun part. if you want to loose weight fast try exercising at least 5-6 days a week with 1 day of rest. Exercise must include cardio 5 days a week and weight/resistance exercise 2-3 days a week. Cardio can include running, biking, anything that will get your heart pumping. Try doing cardio atleast an hour a day except when you do resistance exercise where you can do 30 mins of weights and 30 mins of cardio. Weight lifting should include low weights ( for you) 5 pounds is perfect and lots of reps. maybe 3 sets of 15. You should google resistance exercise. You'll be great if you can do this.

a 13 year old girl should not be concerned about losing weight.
i guess thats just the effect that the world media has on yound women. However can stay in fit by performing regular exercise and eating healthy. You can also try joining a sports team.

Well chasing 14 year old boys might help. :) But seriously, the best way is to eat healthy food and skip the junk food like chips and candy and ice cream and get more exercise. It is hard to skip treats all the time, so go ahead and have an occasional sweet, but not every day. You should not try to starve yourself because you may be still growing and you need the vitamins and minerals that food can provide. Fill up on the healthy stuff and get out and try to discover an exercise that you really really like. You might like bike riding, inline skating, swimming, or even joining a sports team. You might try dancing to your favorite tunes too! It is really important to develop something that you will enjoy for life because developing a healthy lifestyle is not something you want to do for a week or two - it is forever. If your exercise plan is something you hate then you will not be successful at it. If that happens try something new.

I'm also 13 and i also have been thorugh these situation.So the best way to lose your weight is to do the aerobic exercise .I think it will help you lose your weight.Other like weight lifting are hard for you and also they grows your muscles but doing the aerobic exercise you will actually lose your weight.Do the exercise regularly...

Be active and eat nutritious foods. My 14 yr old daughter started playing soccer and it helped her lose weight. It also helps if you refrain from weighing yourself. Muscle weighs more than fat, so when you exercise you start losing more inches than weight. That looks bad on the scale, but good in the mirror!

First, you DO NOT starve yourself!! You are young and you need some guidance, talk your mom and tell her what you are telling us. Eat healthy and exercise is the best answer for anyone that wants to lose weight.

eating habits is one of the main reasons why people dont lose weight 3500 calories =1lb of fat.

stay away from reg SODA, drink more water, eat more fruits and veggies and try to be minimal on bad snacks. I'm not saying to stay away from them just be minimal on them. I eat skittles, snickers, etc. but the bite size candy i will eat 1 maybe 2 to get rid of my craving. I never deprive myself of anything, its bad when you do because that is when you might start to over eat it and can pack on weight. when you eat chips and ice cream make sure to get small portions just to get rid of your cravings, little by little your body will adjust to the change but it does take time. Its not easy but you can do it!

I just stopped drinking soda and had water instead, and avoided fast food places (they all lie when they say it's "diet" ) lost 20 punds in 6 months and kept them off!

you could use Weight loss pills EXERCISING but ask your doc 1st yeah i have the same problem
