someone postedd this last night asnd got a lot of funny response so I thought I'd plagerize it and repost...she wrote..

The sack lunches my mom made were pretty standard - sandwich, chips, cookie, fruit, juicebox. I'd eat the chips at recess and usually throw the fruit away.

I got to thinking the other day: what is the worst lunch a mom could make? Keep in mind the basics -- a main dish, something salty, something sweet, and something to drink. What's the worst possible combination, Nutritionally speaking

I thought it would be fun to just go for the "What could be any less appealing to a kid than this" concept!

Main Dish: Head Cheese & raw onion on brown bread (the canned kind)

Salty Accompaniment: Dried peas dipped in wasabi

Sweets: 4 dried prunes and a cup of tapioca

Drink: Warm rice milk (or tepid tonic water in an old Snapple bottle)

LOL I remember one time in school a classmate brought a sack lunch and he had 2 sandwiches of the same kind....salami w/ mayo and mustard and some cheese.... American I think. Anyways he asked me if I wanted one and I said sure thanks for asking. So I took a big bite and my mouth started to burn, I looked down and the sandwhich was covered with little black and red ants! I spit out my bite and threw the sandwhich away! He continued to eat his. If I remember right he got upset because I threw it away! Oh well just thought I would share somewhat of a nightmare sack lunch.

I got Dad's lunch by mistake once. Sardine sandwiches with horseradish, spanish onion & lettuce. Can't remember the rest, I was too traumatized.

A cheese sandwich on white bread, saltines, dried prunes and dollar general juice box. Can't get much worse than that, can it?

Sardines, without the key to open the can.
Crackers... a very ripe banana.
