maybe the employer is consdering other factors besides longevity. Maybe education and performance and job reviews are incorporated into the determination of salary as well. I'd also suggest that 10 years is not the 'max' experience, an employee with 20 or 30 years experience is likely to be higher on the salary scale than an employee with 10 years experience. To be sure, ask the employer.

I have been a factory worker at Caterpillar for 12 years and I made last year( at 23.00 per hour),71,000 --- and 89,000 the year before because I worked even more overtime. I put in about 60 +hrs a week this year building testing repairing engines.
I am sort of a dying breed though, as there is a 2 tier wage and new employees make 11.00 to 14.00 per hour. I have a BA in Management and I am A Certified Quality Engineer. I am currently looking for jobs I can use my degree that pay as much and its not that easy to find.

Occupation: student and soon to be successful, i hope. Years of experience, plenty of life experiences. Life will teach you a lot of things, enjoy it while you can. Best to be happy for you and others and find hope where you can.
