well, a good friend of mine recently told me that he liked me and that he wanted to marry me. i was very excited to learn he liked me, but such the large committment of marriage was intimidating.. (remember, we are not technically dating.) he then leaves the country and has been gone for almost 6 months. he will be back in 6 more. i'm not sure if i love him, but there are definately strong feelings that need to be explored. should i wait for him to come back? or pursue something else?

i know he is waiting for me.. and he calls me everyday to prove it. that is why i am reluctant to move on. plus, i'm not so sure if i am even interested in anyone else. this is just very confusing for me.

Unfortunately life keeps moving on and you can't control or be sure of anything. In this case I would hate to see you put your life on hold for a full year for something that is only a chance. Who knows what is going on in his life during this year. He may come back and tell you sorry he has met someone else. Or he could come back and you two could hook up for a month or two and realize your better off as just friends. Don't live your life on hold unless your positive of the future.

Do you think he is over there not going out doing any thing?
then maybe you should/shouldnt consider waiting. You even said you havent been dateing so why would you be waiting? You dont have to get all serious with another guy but come on now, you dont even know if you guys will enjoy each other on the relationship leval, you may just love being friends. Im not syaing go out n go wild, but if you get asked out, **** leave ya phone off the hook for the night and the next day hang it back up and tell hm you didnt even know it was off lol naw u should be able to tell him if he asks you- your not even dateing!!!

you shouldn't wait for him unless you are sure about your feeling's for him. you could be missing out on something huge while he is gone then when he comes back it could be for nothing. live your life to the full and it is meant to be it will be.

If you are an American, don't wait.

Sounds like you might be from another country. If so, it's hard to answer based on potential cultural differences.

I wouldn't necessarily seek out something else, but I wouldn't close my self off to opportunity either. Trust ur gut and follow ur heart.

your not dating him, explore your options. if you want to date, do it. if this guy comes back and your available, see where it leads.

when he comes back, date him and see where it goes, it's far too early to tell now.
