Once upon a time I was a Christian and showed a lot of Christian love to all I encountered. A friend of mine that I haven't seen in 25 years has contacted me. She was converted from Roman Catholic to Evangelical Christian by the love I had shown her. She is still a Christian but I have moved on. What an irony that is to me. Of course I love her as always but now, my beliefs can offend her. Any comments? How would you handle this situation?

The differences in your beliefs does not have to be an issue unless one of you chooses to make them an issue. If she is offended by your beliefs she isn't worth the energy to foster/rekindle the relationship. We have a choice to be offended or not.
Hang on to the memory of laughter and smiles the two of you shared. I hope everything works out for you.

thats interesting. my friend went hardcore christian evangelist and now constantly calls me a sinner and tells me to repent. and we are no longer friends cause of his persistance of shoving his beliefs down my throat. interesting how religion can change a person. and its interesting that he calls me evil and stuff, ive been the same always, i grew up in a christian school, i have morals of a christian, the only difference is i dont believe the bible. but that fact makes me pure evil and im completely hellbound now. and he wants nothing to do with me. =\

if a friendship cannot withstand the asualt of religious beliefs, than a friendship it never was.

I am a Pagan with Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Wiccan and Satanist friends. and we can all gather and get along just fine.

respect each other's beliefs and if all else fails, dont discuss religion,

Just keep loving her. What do think becomes of our specific "beliefs" when we die? Dont let petty man made distinctions come between you. Dont discuss your beliefs, live them.
