dunno but really dog food should come in flavours such as poo, vomit, smelly feet, shitty nappy etc as all dogs seem to be attracted to eating all of the above.....as for cats.......pass

Same reason there's no dog-flavoured cat food. Both cats and dogs prefer other stuff.

Perhaps for the same reason there isn't a Mouse flavoured Cat food.
I did contact a manufacturer of cat food a few years ago to ask why no Mouse flavoured food, they said it was because Mice are vermin and your cat shouldn't be fed it.
I politely told the lady "My cat feeds herself on them and likes them, better than your tinned stuff."
She hung up on me.

What do cats taste like? Surely the makers of the dog food would have to know this in order to test the foods authenticity! Yuk.

I think the answer is that no one thought of marketing it yet.
All this stuff about dogs not eating cats (in previous answers) is a red herring (!!!!).
We used to be able to buy hedgehog flavoured crisps, and about as many people eat hedgehogs as dogs eat cats!

Because cat owners would go absolutely apesh1t. Its about time they started making dog food out of things they do eat though, how about dog food with added bits of blood soaked fox, or a special childs face variety for those rottweillers in Leicester.

i think its because it would mix the people up that make dog@cat food. i buy my dog cat food as that is all she will eat. so if you dog likes cat food just give it to him/her. I do

Maybe because the cost and uproar of killing cats and processing them into dog food is probably economically unwise. If you own a dog food company, imagine how many cats you'll have to gather and kill. Since its animal cruelty, there would be much uproar from protesters.
