I get light headed and sleepy after eating almost any food. No matter the amount. It could be just a few bites. It is worse with carbs than veggies.

People generally get tired not long after eating because your body is redirecting more of your blood supply to your stomach to help with the digestion of the food therefore there is less blood going to the rest of your body, including your brain, hence you get sleepy. But if even small amounts make you sleepy you might want to get your blood pressure and blood sugar levels checked just to make sure there is nothing else causing your fatigue.

With a large meal it is the tummy having to work very hard so the rest of the bod goes into slow mode to save energy. On the small meals they may be too sugary and sugar gives instant energy but then the downside is you get more tired then ever. this sounds like a blood sugar problem go get your sugar checked. Take care hope this helped

You feel tired because your body has to use a lot of your energy supply to digest the meal. The bigger and more complex the meal, the more energy it will take to digest. peace out
