I'm sorry your mom is being like that. Personally, I really don't have a problem with immigration. I wish that it would be done legally, but from what I understand, the Mexican government has made it nearly impossible to get a visa to get into the United States, so the only way in is illegally. And it's hard to become a citizen once you get here. How old are you? If you are younger than 16, I can understand your mom being upset. Even if you think you are making good choices, it's easy to get caught up. With some more experience in life, you will understand a bit better. If you are over 16, well then, legally, you still are under your mother's authority, but at 16, you are going to do what you want to do no matter what your mother says. I was just like that at 16. So I wound up getting married at 19 to an abusive man, and getting divorced 2 years later. Turns out my mom was a lot more right than I gave her credit for!
There are a few people in the US that are racists, but the majority of us really arent. It's not fair to lump all of in the same category.
How old is your boyfriend? If he's a lot older than you, your mom is probably afraid that he is taking advantage of you. Not trying to defend your mom or anything, just trying to present both sides.
Your mom has made a mistake, though. Punishing your boyfriend for your relationship is just going to push you farther and farther away from her. Maybe when she calms down, she will be able to see that.
I'm sorry that you are going through so much, and I hope everything works out for you.

You really are mad. And you are young. I have learned, to be careful for what you write, because many times I have had to eat my words. First your problem is your Mother. So why is she going to press charges on him for statutory rape ? Is it because he has raped you ?? You can not blame us for your personal problems. Sounds like your Mother has a good case or she wouldn't be threatening to do this to this Illegal emmigrant. You are ashamed. I feel you are ashamed for the wrong reason. Well, if I did rot in hell I would be sitting next to you and your bad attitude so I think I will head the other direction because spending eternity with someone like you would be misery. You need to get an attitude adjustment fast. And you also need to get an American boyfriend that can't be deported and I think he probably needs to be younger if your Mother can charge him. I am ashamed of your family too for not already having him deported or put in jail for statutory rape if they can.

Keep your chin up, there is light at the end of the tunnel. Some kind of immigration reform comes around every 10-15 years. If your mother is threatening statutory rape charges then learn your local laws concerning those charges. Every states has different age ranges. Florida is over 16 and under 23 nothing can be done. Check your states it may be the same and if you and your boyfriend fall into the age range then you have nothing to worry about. Can't tell you anything about deportation I would just suggest that your mom not know where he lives or works.
