Your uncle's Ford is no competition for the Ferrari…in speed, class, performance or design. There are many critical factors that you fail to address. For one, the Ferrari FXX has 790hp. Its predecessors the Enzo, has 650hp and the F50 has 513hp. Secondly, Ferraris are 12 cylinders super-cars; they can go from 0-60 in three seconds and change—all you have is torque and a lot of dust in your face. Third, the Ferrari design incorporates active aerodynamic technology and a carbon fiber body with alloy sub-frame. The weight difference alone negates any claim you have on hp. Lastly, a Ferrari is a work of art, a classic, a prestigious privilege. And the Ford is just a truck.

There no real comparison here. The Ferrari's built for speed and the Ford is built for hauling. Horsepower isn't everything either, the truck has a lot more weight to move around than the car does. The key is power to weight ratio. Both vehicles are designed with this in mind. I drive a Ford truck as a company vehicle and it gets the job done; but it isn't a chick magnet.

It's all about what people like. My Kawasaki ZX10R Ninja sportbike will blow away most sportscars, but would a fat guy prefer to sit behind a Viper or ride on a sportbike?
-Other factors include the cost of insurance. Try getting a quote for a Ferrari versus a Ford F-350.
-People who buy Ferraris are very different people than those who buy Ford F350s in most cases. The guy who buys the Ferrari probably only puts 500 miles a year on the car, while the guy who buys the Ford F350 offroads, hauls, etc. I personally would choose the Ford F-350 !!

I'm a pilot, 650 horsepower is what we have on small airplanes (Cessna Caravan). I've run aircraft with 90,000 horsepower (Boeing 727 3 x 15,000 lbs dry thrust). So I guess I could really beat a Ferrari off the line, and your uncle's ford too.
Horsepower doesn't mean anything, its power to weight that does. A truck that weighs twice as much as a Ferrari would take twice the power to equal the acceleration. Not to mention better aerodynamics, tires, suspension, and gearing.
My Volvo could probably school your uncle's truck (S70 T5).

Dude, The engine in the truck is designed for ONE thing and one thing ONLY. TORQUE!!! The weight of the truck is another thing. Just as stated above, your uncles truck weighs about 3 tons while the Ferrari is what.. ton and a half....maybe. And besides the Ferrari is designed for speed and has hardly any drag. The truck has the aerodynamic drag of a thirty by thirty foot brick wall. (I am aware of the exageration) And as stated the Ferraris engine does not have to work as hard as the Ford. Man people and their ignorant children.

the Ford is geard for torque.
the Ferraris are geard for speed.
ok, give this a shot. get that f350 up to about 90 mph, then take a tight turn. now try it with the Ferrari.
just because you have h/p doesnt mean it's faster. the gearing has something to do with it too.
i have driven the F series 6.0l turbo diesels and i am very impressed with the power, it pulls hard the whole time your foot is into the gas...but vs. a Ferarri? please.
apples to oranges.
i bet Ferrari's reliability is better than the F series too...EBP sensor, EGR valves, ICP sensors, recalls recalls recalls....yay for Ford!
ps. F550's arnt "faster" they just have a more heavy duty chassis

Look, guys he is probably only 12 years old and doesn't know anything about cars or trucks. For one thing, a Ferrari is a work of art, and has more class and performance that your 'uncles' shitty ford pickup. Anyone who is in the market for a ferrari is not going to look at a ford pickup thats for damn sure. arent you the same idiot who said his stock mustang beat a corvette? lol, yea enough said..

Use your own math and factor in weight. That truck is well over 6,000lbs and the Ferrari is somewhere near 3,000. So the power to weight ratio is far in the Ferrari's favor. So I'll see your uncle in the Ferrari's rear view mirror assuming he can keep up.

This is right up there for the dumbest thing I have ever heard anyone say in my entire life.
Your uncles truck couldn't beat a ferrari that was in reverse...
If you were anywhere near me when you made this statement...I would have slapped you.
