you should make sure you need to lose 20 pounds first.. and there is no "fast" way that is healthy, you put it on slow, it'll take some time to come off.. but if you are going to start working out.. and your weight was stable before you started working out.. you will either lose weight.. or start turning fat into muscle and possibly gain a little weight.. then your metabolism will kick up and you will start to lose fat fairly fast.. just focus on eating healthy, exercising, and being healthy rather than focus on a specific weight.

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Healthy tips for losing weight fast

1. Lessen calorie intake by 250-500 per day by substituting most high calorie foods for low fat varieties

2. Keep this cut going for at least one week or until you reach a weight loss level that lasts more than 4 days, then reduce calories by a further 200 per day.

3. Take high quality protein with mainly meals or if possible combine the low fat plant foods together at each meal.

4. Begin a standard weight-training program to keep muscle and boost metabolism.

5. Do aerobic activities on the days in-between the weights sessions to help burn fat directly.

6. Drink plenty of water all day to keep energy levels.

7. Lessen sodium eating by preparing meals using fresh, natural and healthy ingredients.

8. Gently raise the intensity level of the weights program forcing the body to hold onto muscle as calorie intake is lowered gradually over time.

9. Never go below 1500 calories per day, simply exercise more often when if this target is reached.

The only thing that ever worked for me and worked fast was doing the ATKINS things.

You get to eat a lot of meats but you REALLY can not cheat and eat anything other than what they say.

NO SUGARS... once the sugar is out of your system in about a week you will loose about 10 to 15 pounds in the first two weeks.

Works every time.

Also you have to WALK... every day.

The best way to lose 20 pounds real fast is to stay up on a 5 day crystal meth binge. You might go a little bit crazy, but in between the 5 days you'll be up tearing apart the electronics in your house and the 2 days you'll end up sleeping, that 20 pounds will come right off. Of course 1/2 a pound of that will be in teeth lost, but you want to be skinny don't you?!?!?

if you use some fad diet, you may lose 20 quickly, but you'll gain that 20 and more back even faster! just eat healthy and work out...30 minutes a day isn't that much to give your body. try jogging/biking/lifting/basketball/soccer...whatever floats your boat for half an hour a day.

You really shouldnt eat bread, but if you do, eat whole wheat. Not the fake whole wheat, the grainy kind. Drink a TON of water, it fills you and youll want less food.
