how come so many teens are having sex so young? They get pergnat and they can't take care of the baby?

yeah people sure got mad at you. thank god i didnt have a baby when i was a teen. at 17 what kind of a job can you get? i'm sure many teens parents are loving, but who wants to rely on thier parents or the government to help them raise a kid.

LOL!!!! This is coming from someone that can't even spell pregnant. Now that's funny. I was 17 the first time I had sex, got pregnant In July of 2003, turned 18 in December of 2003. I have a good job, my fiance has a great job, we just bought a new car, we're buying a house in a year or 2, our kids are well-behaved, intelligent, and loved. Why do you generalize?

To answer your question; I had sex at 17 for the first time because I was in love then and I still am. My fiance was my first and only. The reason we're not married yet is because we want to get married the right way; in a church with faimly there to witness it. Yea we may have went out of order with things but personally, I do NOT believe in abortion and once my birth control failed with both my kids (thanks to my unsually high fertility rate), it was too late to say I didn't want to be a mom. I don't regret having either of them. I don't like to drink, I don't like to travel, I don't like to go partying or clubbing so I'm not missing out on those things at all. And as far as not taking care of my kids, they're very well taken care of.

as a parent of 5 i honestly think that there is a lack of parenting. because of the cost of living most parents work alot of hours, then there are the parents that just let the kids do what they "think" they want to do. When it comes down to it, the kids need them just as much at 12 as they do at 2. the attention, the time. so the kids go looking for that in all the wrong places. kids are going through puberty, and confusing love with something else. parents should make it more fun to BE home, and be more involved with them recreationally. and KNOW the kids that their children are hanging out with. Finally there are those few cases where the parents are involved and sometimes bad decisions have bad concequences.

I know, for me, when I was a teenager, I had way to much sex. I was irresponsible and young and I didn't really care about my future. I never got pregnant during those years, but there are some who do. I think some teenagers/young adults have sex and get pregnant and they are very responsible about it. Sometimes people make mistakes, too. Personally, I think a lot of teenagers are using more protection. Not a lot of them want to get pregnant, and I think if they want to have sex, fine. Just make sure you use protection and are having sex for the RIGHT reasons.

i think that teens get pregnant so early because hanging with their friends they are under peer pressure and want to fit in, and another reason is because television, displays it as it is the thing to do. when the teen dose get pregnant they think that they have achieved something, and the bad thing is that they di not want the responsibility.
