may cause cancer, not does cause cancer.
people are sensitive to different things, and if you get just the wrong trigger it can cause cells to mutate into cancer.
that is why it is important to use moderation with everything.
too much of anything isn't good.
just lay off the soda every day, it's okay once in a while but for everyday, have water or ice tea with lemon.
basically the doctor is saying, drink something healthy for your body, not pop. they try to scare people because they never listen. if you're young then you have a good chance to learn from this knowledge. take care of your body, it's the only one you get!
Now go have a diet Dr. Pepper and forget about it;))) (kidding!)

Yes, it has been shown to cause cancer. Both Splenda and Nutrasweet. But so does everything else. Just remember moderation, too much of anything isnt good (well there are a few exceptions) because otherwise you'll end up like the bubble boy !!!

There is no definite cause to cancer. It varies by genetics, lifesytle, and environment. Some people smoke all their lives and never end up with lung cancer, while others, who have never smoked, can die from lung cancer- Dana Reeve for example. Some theories suggest that some individuals are predisposed to cancer meaning they will get some form of cancer regardless of their lifesyle choices. Sad but true, cancer is a shot in the dark.

EVERYTHING causes cancer!!! Cell phones, food, soda, water, air!!!
The way I see it, EVERYONE is born with a cancer gene. Something they do or do NOT do can set it off. Some people get it from one thing while others do not. There are people who live very healthy, active lifestyles & yet they get cancer, while someone with a cell phone attached to their head, while they drink soda, smoke cigarettes, eat whatever they want & drinks like a fish, do not. I don't think there is really anyother way to look at it.

oil product, refinements, residues, off gasses, combined with poymers and life.
Things that contain inverted sugar or aspartame are made from aspartame which is made from phenylallinine, phenylallinine is a pre cursor for seritonin which is universally accepted by the brain and thus affects the whole body in general. Aside from phenylallinine aspartame is made of asparic acid and acids do affect the brains reactions to its own neurotransmitters making them more soluable in water blood cerebrospinal fluid etc , now aside from that to glump it all together apartame contains 11 % or so methyl alcohol, methane is a hydro carbon with one molecule of carbon, anyway aside from making emulsions in your brain to stop or limit the flows methyl gets broken down by the body to form formaldehyde yeah thats right the stuff used for embalming.
So even if it does give you cancer at least you will look well preserved.

I heard a story on the t.v. that said that there's a certain limit of some kind of sugar (or something) in pop and if there is more than that limit, and you drink alot of it, you MIGHT get cancer. (but the chance is very low.)
That's all I know.

It's a common myth. There is no proof of such claims. I still think diet soda tastes gross.
