We first thought that she may have worms, so we got her worm medication after we gave it to her I noticed blood in her crap. I figured maybe it was the worms dying I didn't know. It's been like 3 weeks or so & her crap is the same runny is this like the norm for kittens or what God I hope not! Can you give cats imodium or something?

It sounds like your kitten has some troubles! I do know that the vet has something like "kaopectate". But first you need to determine what caused his runny poop. Inlisting the help of a veteranarian is a good idea! Next...make sure you aren't feeding your kitten something that might be causing the runnnnssss. Cow's milk, to spite popular belief, is NOT good for cats! It's too rich for them, and can cause diarreah! Also, neither is canned tuna... can have the same result as cow's milk.

We found this kitten several years ago that was very young, and obviously mal-nourished. For a lack of anything else to feed the poor kitty, we broke out the canned tuna fish from the cupboard. Of course the kitty LOVED IT!! We took the kitten home, and much to our surprise, he had the runs....which lasted 9 MONTHS!! The kitten grew up with the runs no matter what we tried to help, including vet visits. He eventually grew out of the problem, but his little rear couldn't handle regular poop, and he just YELLED each time he had to have a b.m. Guess what his name was?? POOPER!

No kidding, this is a true story! Stick with kitten chow or canned cat food. If, and only if, you have to feed him cow's milk, dilute it with water befor giving it to him.

All animals have bad gas as do humans, but please take the kitten to the vet and get her checked out as it is not normal for her to have runny poop for this long.

Have you been giving her milk all the time?

As this is the side effect of milk and a cat can not digest it properly and they can get really sick from it.

It could also be the type of food that you are feeding her, some cats have a problem with the food that they are fed.

I hope that this helps you out a little.

Good Luck to you and your kitty

We had a kitten that done the same thing. After a few weeks he was so weak that we took him to the vet. He could hardly walk without poop falling out of him. Turns out that he had a parisite and we were prescribed albon to get rid of it. It worked and he felt better in a few days. Go to your vet asap b/c these things kill cats.

She probably does have a parasite. You need to bring a fresh sample of her poop to the vet. They will give you the right medication for your cat. Also get your cat flea repelant. They usually get parasites by eating fleas that have been infected.

PS- if you bought the medication from the store and not the vet, that stuff never works.

don't prescribe for your cat unless you've done 5yrs at vet school!!!!!!! you shouldn't have let your cat like this for 3 weeks. Bring her to the vet-she'll be extremely dehydrated!!!! and you've seen BLOOD??? jeez, BRING HER TO THE VET NOW!!!!

Take your pet to the vet A.S.A.P. I know that if you give cats milk they can have diarrhea, but this more serious then that.

If she has had diarrhea that long, you need to get her to the vet right away. Try to get a specimen. They will need to check it.
