You have to remember that the word arthritis if broken down means inflammed (itis) joint (arthr). Having said this many people get arthritis from old injuries and other different causes as well. Old injuries can not only leave scar tissue but deteriorate the joint as age sets in. It is very common to have deteriorated joints with old injuries. (depending on what joint it is) When the joint starts to deteriorate thats when you should look into other types of health and healing to help remediate the problem. There are many alternatives. Good luck.

Oseoarthritis is linked to injury and wear. That is the kind you are asking about, and it comes with age.

Rheumatoid arthritis is a systemic disease. It occurs in less than 10% of the population

What you are looking for would be osteoarthritis and degenerative joint disease. These are two forms of arthritis that result from overuse, age and injury.
