Ok, this question is serious. My friends are trying to hook me up with some cute guy in my grade. We've never really met...Not yet at least. So my friends and I tease each other about it, well today at lunch, my friends went to go get him and bring him over to the table we were at. [He already knows about me by the way.]
They came back a minute later saying "He doesn't want to meet you yet." I don't know, but I'm sort of taking that as a rejection, but a friend of mine thinks that he's scared. So which is it?

I didn't really say that I liked the guy. I don't even know him. My friends are just hooking us up. I think I may agree with the shyness. I did see him sitting alone at a football game once.

Hi - it is good to hear from you again. He is just scared and nervous. Even if he is not interested in you, he would come over with your mutual friends and visit. It is awkward for the both of you right now so just don't let it worry you. The next time you pass by him just say hi. He will say hi back and maybe then you will talk. Or, it may take two or three times of you saying hi for him to be less shy. Good Luck

Your friend is right. Most males are not exactly sure how to express thier feelings. Remember when you were in kindergarten and a boy liked you he would hit you or pull your hair.
The guy is just as nervous as you. He wants to make sure he says all the right things at the right time so don't worry.
I had that experience recently and I thought the guy was not serious about me. It turned out he was afraid about how I would react. So don't worry, if he knows alot about you then he's definitely interest3d

More than likely he is scared. The idea of having to meet you in front of all your friends is a bit intimidating for most guys. I think it would be better for him to meet you when there is only one or two other people around so he doesn't feel so much pressure.

Boys who are scared of girls aren't very much fun. He didn't want to meet you. It's not one or the other, it's both.
Not a match made in heaven. Another boy will come along, and he'll be glad to meet you and not scared of girls. This one sounds a little too young.

hun, dont even worry about it! my friends did the same thing, except with a guy i have known for my whole life that was just a friend, he said he wasnt ready for that, and i took it as a rejection, but then he told me he meant we have been friends for just so long, that it would be akward between us, so yeah, maybe your guy just thinks its too early, and too akward, you sound like youre in 8th or 9th grade, thats about the time that guys are getting more into dating, but less comfortable about it.

Maybe a little of both. Perhaps he's shy........or perhaps he's got his eye on someone else at the moment. In either case, it has no reflection on you. Continue to be happy and accept yourself for who you are. And always remember, there's no pleasing
EVERYONE.
