They aren't as bad as the fanatics say, but they aren't good by any means. To make a proper meal for 1 from fresh ingredients takes less effort than you'd imagine and is well worth it. the pure ingredients mean you suffer less from drinking too much (better absorbancy means you can drink others under the table!!), you won't be so bad tempered, cooking is theraputic and the right ingredients mean your body doesn't have to deal with things it was never designed to handle, relieving stress. And of course you feel better in yourself which means you will feel better, again reducing stress.

In an ideal world, no one would eat ready meals ever. Nothing compares to fresh ingredients. But a ready meal is still much better for you than 'fast food' and takeouts. Personally, if I had to eat ready meals rather than freshly prepared food, I'd buy from M & S rather than Tescos. They don't use partially hydrogenated fats and the small extra cost is worth it.

Wish I new for sure.
I buy Waitrose posh ready meals in the hope they won't kill me, but I have no idea how much I may be conning myself.
i try to plan ahead for the days I can't be bothered/don't have the time to cook. But on those days I don't plan far enough to even take a frozen home cooked meal out of the freezer.
See you on the other side!

Well considering that Tesco Finest meals are stuffed full of salt and saturated fat they probably are yes, that said chicken breasts in a creamy white wine and tarragon sauce are fabulous when combined with Tesco Finest Daphanoise potatoes.

The finest range ready meals actually have more fat in them than the economy ones, so your better off with economy even though finest taste better!
Actually, your better off not eating them at all cause their really bad for you!!

recent reports from the WWF stated that 100% of food was contaminated with man made pollutants so yes they are but guess what they tested "organic" products as part of it and they were no less contaminated than any other product so don't buy into the organic myth - in fact many non "organic" foods are actually safer than organic ones because they are better regulated and checked for harmful chemicals and stopped from bieng sold if they are present

The finest and good for you ones won't kill you but they certainly won't extend your life! Food tastes so much better when you go to a little effort and make it yourself ... it's not terribly hard either! Have a go, you might surprise yourself.

Now and again won't harm you. If you look at the ingredients you will see that there are a lot of preservatives and too many E numbers. Cook from fresh vegetables.
