Cats never grow up. This is called kneading, the same motion they did to their moms when they were nursing. It got milk and attention. She may do it a little less frequently as she gets older, but it's likely that kneading will always be part of her behavior.

Perfectly normal, even old cats do it too. It's called kneading, they do this as a little kitten to get milk from their mothers or attention. There's nothing wrong with the cat, all of them do it but it might get less frequent as they age.

Thats very normal, actually all's they are doing is trying to make a bed to lay down lol sounds funny but its just the way cats are i guess, at least you dont have a cat that scared the **** outta people, even dogs run from her lol. We got the "official" watch cat lol

You are your cat's mommy now. When she was a kitten she kneaded her mother while nursing to stimulated more milk to come out. Most cats do this I had 2 litter mate that were 19 and 20 until they died and they did it up until their death. Our cat we have now has a mommy blanket it is real soft knit and she knead it and while she doesn't nurse she has her mouth down on the softness. Kneading is a comfort to them.

This is very normal! It's called milk treading and when they were kittens they did this to their mothers to stimulate milk production when they were nursing. The cat is just remembering the "good ole days" when it was safe and happy as a kitten. Maybe you remind it of mom!

That's very normal. Almost all cats do that. Some people say that it is because the cat was taken away from its mother too soon, or that it is very happy with its home.

Yes. Every cat does this, not just when they sit on people, they also do it pretty much everytime before they lie down. Sorta like dogs walking in tight circles.

I say you're "getting fluffed" by your cat.

My cat does that too! Its so cute (I think). I have a teddy bear that he does it to. He doesnt to it to anything besides that and maybe a blanket. She is doing it so she can get ready to lay down for a nap. Not exactly sure why they do it, but its just a sign that they are getting ready to lay down and relax.
