for your height/age/weight/sex you are in the 80% for your bmi index.. so you are at a healthy weight! in other words there's no need to diet.. if you want to shed a few pounds start working out and stop drinking sodas.. that's right.. get off the computer and go for a walk or go play soccer or something! don't try to drop 20 pounds in a week, you don't have any need of such a weight loss..

My ideas? Try to do 200 minutes of cardio a week. Remember fat does not turn into muscle, so you need to lose your fat while putting on muscle. Work hard, but don't over 60 minutes at a time. Do planks and other abs exercises on alternate days.

On training days, do 5-10 minutes of cardio to warm up, then do your weight training. Do 30 to 60 minutes more of cardio, then go home.

The best time to eat is just after your workout within an hour when your metabolism is raging. For your muscles, incorporate some isolated soy protein or whey protein. Whey is more potent but the soy tastes better!

Don't look at your scale as the be all and end all, but get a measuring tape to check your progress, and that will show more tangible results.

Read magazines like Shape, Womens Fitness, Fitness, etc to get tips and to stay motivated.

Good luck and stick at it. This plan has lost me 20 lbs in 12 weeks so far, just go for it!

Why is everyone always obsessing about losing the weight fast? Dragonfly, wouldn't you rather lose the weight permanently?

I'd much rather lose a pound a week and keep it off forever, then lose 20 lbs in 4 weeks and then gain it back 6 months later.

You are not very overweight. Start working on eating a healtheir diet overall, and getting regular exercise or activity. The extra pounds will naturally come off and you'll be set for life.

OK...so you want fast. Try the Crystal Meth diet. "Ride the Snake." It's based on an SNL skit with Jim Carrey.
