This is out of curiousity and boredom. How are blisters formed? I get them a lot when I go out for my morning walk.

Start by wearing shoes that fit. If you're putting on new shoes, use moleskin where you normally would get a blister. You can find it at CVS in the first-aid section.

Blisters are formed when the epidermis and the dermis (skin layers) are rubbed vigorously and separate due to the friction. The pus in the blister is the padding so that the skin can heal.

Then you need some new trainers or to do up the laces!

A blister is a swelling formed by fluid to protect an injured area from further damage. It forms because you break up the flesh and then the cells release chemical messengers to attract fluid and cells from the immune system to repair the damage.
