i know what u mean. My bf's dad insisted on cutting his hair and it looked like an accident so one day, my bf just shaved it all off. Problem solved ;-) Just kidding, dont do that. Just tell her that u like the way she cuts it but want to try something different just this once. Once she sees how excited u'll be with ur new hair, she wont do it again. Or tell her that she is good at cutting it but doesnt have all the right equipment that hairstylists have, like special scissors, or the razors they use...

Tell her the truth. It may hurt her at first but say, look if you want me to i will also try to split the cost. But i want a haircut from them. Tell her you love her and that she should let you make a choice if you want her to cut your hair or not !
Good Luck!

Tell your mom (in a gentle way mind you) that while you appreciate her taking the time to cut your hair you'd like to try out new styles.

Coming from a mother of two, as well as being a hairstylist. Just tell her I don't want to hurt your feelings but I have my own express and have my own ideas. If you tell her that you will do extra chores or get great grades in school then I'm sure she will cave in sooner or later. Hair is just one way to express who we are and how we see ourselves. Keep trying and maybe she will compromise.

Just tell her they way you told us. Tell her you will find a way to have a pro do it. You're most likely a bit too old to have mommy cut your hair.

oh. thats rough =[

she would be really hurt, though, if you said it in a mean way!

SO my idea is to find a style that you really like. Ask your mom if she can do that style on your hair. if she says no, then ask her if you can get it doen at a cheap place like Great Clips or something. Back it up with a coupon if possible!

I hope it works.

if it doesnt, then break it to her veeeerryyy gently!

but remember, its your hair...you decide whats gonna happen to it

Just sit h er down and explain to her that you are growing up and you want to venture out and see what it feels like to have someone else cut your hair.

First off I would just tell her the truth. Tell her that you would rather have someone who knows what they are doing cut your hair.

Try "Mum I dont want you to cut my hair"

Explain to her how you feel, I dont know how old u r but im imaging quite young, so going and paying for it urself is probal;ly not an option. Just explain, shes ur mum she should understand
