There were many Gospels. The Gospel of Judas just wasn't included in the Bible. It has nothing to do with if it's the truth or an ancient fraud. If all the Gospels written in the first 500 years after Christ death were included in the bible it would be a hugh mass too large to handle. The four Gospels were chosen by the Roman Catholic Church because they were the most representative of what the Chuch wanted to teach get across to the people as the truths of Christ life on Earth. Remember, the Roman Catholic Church put the New Testatment of the Bible together over 800 years after the death and resurrection of Christ. No other church has either added to or taken away from the Roman Catholic canons that make up the New Testament.

actuality: the Gospel of Judas is a Gnostic gospel. what's a Gnostic Gospel? Gospels written approximately 2 hundred years after Christ's loss of life, many fake doctrins attributed to Him, and that they have got been given names of important human beings interior the a million century church. those gospels had such doctrines as women individuals transforming into to be adult males to bypass to heaven and Jesus being married. those at the instant are not historicly precise and would't be examined by potential of outdoors components. although, The 4 gospels interior the Bible are historicly acurate and would/have been examined by potential of distinctive components different than the Bible itself. If all people want to talk the acuracy of the Bible i'd be greater effective than satisfied to do it.

Sorry, it's a fraud. It was written at a later time to the rest of the bible, and clearly contradicts those scritpures we have which by themselves all agree on the same subject.

its a gnostic gospel, written later than the biblical gospels. so i doubt its truthiness.

but it doesnt matter, jesus had to be betrayed one way or another. and the gospel is pretty banged up, hard to read, many parts missing so it hard to say if its true since i cant read the whole thing, as much as 10 lines at a time are missing.

Those are not mutually exclusive categories, believe it or not.

In other words, there might be great spiritual truths in the Gospel of Judas, but it might have been written pseudonymously.
