A true Christian (someone who has repented and put their trust in Christ) cannot go to Hell.

There is nothing you can do to save yourself. The work has already been done by Christ (BTW repentence and trust are responses to what Christ has done and are not "works").
However there are many who believe that doing "Christian" things (like baptism, going to church, etc...) will earn them heaven. That is because they do not understand what God has already done for them. So there will be many "false converts" who believe they are going to heaven when reality the opposite is true.

Please take the test below.

definitely. I think that's just life and how everyone should see it. As a Christian one should believe that they are not perfect. We simply must live to be like Jesus. One of my fears is this; what if I die while I'm on a sinning binge? What then? Do I go to hell, or do I get a last chance to defend myself? I guess I won't know until I die. Hopefully I can resolve this within myself before hand.

let consider what a Christian is. do they believe in religious teaching about God. I am a child of God. I have a personal relationship with Jesus, God and the Holy Spirit. I am not a stereotyped member of a group who claims to follow a bunch of other people.who go to a church, go to a fellowship, and pretend to follow God. I would bet 75% of so-called christian will find themselves in the lake of fire. Being a true believer and a child of God requires a few things. One is salvation and a personnel relationship with God, study daily in the Word of God(bible). Total change in behavior and conduct with your-self, your fellow man. Complete giving of your mind and soul to the the Teaching and walk of Jesus the Christ. When you do thees things, than yes God Say's you will inherit the Kingdom of heaven. It must begin here on earth before it will happen up there.I pray you here these words with your heart of hearts and not your flesh and mind.
Amen

Only as much as the liberals here are willing to consider that in spite of everything they do, they may be going to hell.

There was a time when I thought it depended on what I did to keep me out of hell, but no more. (2 Corinthians 5:21)

The very fact that we are able to call ourselves Christians means that we will be going to heaven. It has nothing to do with what good works we do. You obviously are a nonbeliever, but you must be struggling within your spirit to pose the question. What if we're right?

We have to trust in God's mercy. I believe that He will not let us down.

For the person here who is so clearly anti-Catholic, you are extremely ignorant. The Virgin Mary has only ever pointed us towards her Son. She wants nothing for herself. We only worship God, not Mary! Try to read up on our faith before you open your ignorant mouth again.

It should be kept in mind so we will be reminded to try everyday to do what is pleasing to Him. No one is blameless or perfect. But I believe that it is important to have faith and know that you know what you know....when He returns, He isn't going to make time for people to make up their minds. That is why we must decide every day who we will serve. He is coming back as a roaring lion...

Nope!
Because eternal life in Heaven is a GIFT from God, just by accepting His Son as your Saviour, and turning away from your sinful life.

When we sin after we are saved, we ask for forgiveness, and He forgives and forgets. If there is anything we forget to repent, we will answer to HIm in Heaven.

But, once you are saved, you are always saved.

It isn't what you do. YOu can't get to Heaven on your works
