Yep. Otherwise it makes no sense that Jesus was celebrating Jewish holidays like Passover and called Rabbi.

In a sense it did. All the earliest Christians were Jews after all, and they didn't instantaneously abandon all of the Jewish ideas and practices they had been raised with. On the other hand, within a period of three years the Christian faith became so different from traditional Judaism that the Jewish leaders demanded the death of the Christian leader. That's major change practically overnight - not what I would usually categorize as an "evolution".

actually, it did not evolve from Judaism- we are supposed to be grafted in to the same root as the Jewish people, unfortunately most Christians today are taught and believe that we now live in anarchy, the perfect instruction of the Lord and the feasts are for Jews only and are following after the traditions of man. We are supposed to be one with God's chosen, adopted heirs.

All the first Christians were Jews, it's just that many didn't accept Jesus as their messiah, and Christ told his followers to spread the good news about him throughout the earth. The Jews were Gods special people for a period of time, but the bible says he is not partial and desires all to repent. The sad thing is that Jesus' most bitter opposers were the priests and the pharisees cause they didn't want to lose their wealth and their social status.

Why are people always trying to take the glory from God? Christianity didn't EVOLVE from Judaisim. Israel rejected and crucified the son of God so God put the promise to Israel in hold and opened the whole thing up to the gentiles for a seaon. In due course the priesthood will be restored again to Israel just as God promised.

Christianity is what Judaism should have been if the Jews would have accepted Jesus as the Messiah.
They didn't, and now they have lost touch with God.
