my husband and I recently watched it on fox news and we were completely discusted about how so called church officials claim that our country is going to hell and they even had protest signs at soldiers funerals that said thank god for ied's how cruel is that. They also said we should fear god and we are all going to hell that god hates us first of all god hates no one and she even read a passage (the church official) from the bible incorrectly she says she is a pastor of a church (all the church is her family) she is acutually running a cult. I dont really agree about the iraq war totally but my husband is a soldier and i support him 100 % and i also dont agree with homosexuality but i wouldnt go to someones funeral say they are going to hell cuz they are gay or want them dead. Has anyone seen this you can go to youtube.com and look it up its absolutely ridiculous

Jesus commands us to love our neighbor irrespectable of who he is.
Homosexuals are infinitly loved by God as are all of us.

God wants us to avoid sin because He loves us and sin destroys people.

BTW Those people are not Christians they are heretics. I even suspect they are possessed by demons.

Those protesters are part of the "Westboro Baptist Church". They run the http://www.godhatesfags.com website. They are anything but Christian. They've been protesting for years and will probably keep protesting long after their cult leader, Fred Phelps, is dead.

Fred was a bad businessman, a bad lawyer, an EXTREMELY bad father (to read about the terror he put his children through, go to this link: http://blank.org/addict/ ) and a HORRIBLE preacher. The members of his "church" consist mostly of his children and their children. They used to only protest at the funerals of homosexuals but have now incorporated soldier funerals into their protesting "schedule".

Remember Matthew Sheppard? The gay boy who was brutally beaten and left to die tied to a wooden post in the middle of a field? They protested at his funeral. See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Matthew_Sheppard#After_the_attack

There is a group that "counter protests" at some of the funerals. They basically shield mourners from the hateful cult. Check it out: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Patriot_Guard_Riders

Fairly recently, President Bush enacted a statute that prohibits protesting within 300 ft of the entrance of a cemetery from 60 minutes before to 60 minutes after a funeral. Read: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Respect_for_America%27s_Fallen_Heroes_Act

It's horrible, how could they do things like this in Jesus's name. I too believe that killing is a horrible thing to do, no matter how it comes about, but i would never show up at someones funeral like that. The homosexuality thing is just ridiculous, leave the poor people alone! If they put the energy they put into the anti-gay movement into feeding the hungry, imagine the difference it would make. Hypocrits!

Yes, this is some crazy church, the Westboro baptist church, look them up on wikipedia and see what you think.

Those people are clearly very very funny in the head (not in the amusing sort of way either).

Anyone who protests about anything at any ones funeral deserves no respect whatsoever.

Sounds like Westboro Baptist Church - and yes they are a cult and do not represent true Christians.

Twenty or thirty people belonging to a single fringe church do not represent the hundreds of millions of Christians all over the world.

Didn't see the protest.

Sounds like they're way of base if they think IEDs are a gift from God. That's really sick.

Here's what Jesus has to say about it: "Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity." Matt 7:22-23 KJV

They are from Kansas and they drove to Tennessee to protest. They do not represent anyone but themselves. The spokesman for the soldier's family said "he died to protect their right to do that."

The real crime besides the hate these mentally ill people foment is that FOX covers it and makes it seem a bigger movement than it is. Hate mongers=FOX.

How do you disagree with homosexuality? Do you disagree with toes? What about sadness? Are they not both as naturally formed and naturally occurring as someones sexuality?
