It is meant for a lager spiritual sense (unless you are one who takes it literaly). Like we came from the earth and to the earth we are to return. Whether you believe we came from monkeys or whatever. We still enter back into the earth. There is no escape. Even if you get cremated, your ashes will also one day return back to the earth. And on a different sense, we have dirt inside of us. Earth. When you sweat alot and wipe with a clean white tee, it will be dirty. We are part of the earth and she of us. Even dust bunnies are skin cells scratched off. Most of the dust accumulated in your household are dead skin cells.

We mortals be but formed from dust, we live from the ruach - the Breath. We return to the dust...which is part of the reason we have so much on my windowsill.
Monkeys - not all genes are passed to all members of a given genus or species.

because we didn't come from monkeys that's why monkeys are still around and actually dust are really dead skin cells and any other pollutant that toxifies the air.

umm people wernt made from dust but if they were it would be because they have not been born yet and evolved into people.

For the same reason that the grass is green and car is yellow. Makes as much sense as your question. If candy comes from sugar why is there still sugar. If chocolate comes from cocao, why is they still cocoa? If you came from your parents, why are there still parents? If automobiles come from steel, glass,etc., why is there still steel, glass, etc.? If books come from paper, why is there still paper? And so on and so on and so on.
