You have to want to stop or you will never be able to. The human will is set up like a simple toy if you want to succeed you will if you want to fail then the same holds true. I stopped five times the last one I wanted to rather then some else asking me to. You have to want to stopp or you will not be successful. Good luck and best wishes.

I managed to smoke for over 20 years. I loved it, too. I have been known to say that when I turn 90 I am going to start drinking, smoking, and carrying on. I tried a bunch of things and it never worked because I wasn't committed to quit. I decided, finally, that there is no "good" time to quit and things are going to happen whether I quit or not so I just have to do it. So I used the patch and it helped alot! I added in mints, exercise and deep breathing. You can do it if I could! Goodluck!

Try the patch. I've smoked since 1997 and in the last few years tried to quit a bunch of times (nothing worked), but I started the patch October 17th of 2005, and haven't had one yet - I highly recommend it if you're serious (it's a little pricey).

you carry on smoking, increase your consumption, go ahead. In the years to come there will be too many of us old people, one less will help to reduce the dependence on state welfare. Tell your friends to keep smoking too.
