True Trek fans will remember that in one episode of NG it was alluded to that they had already proved, (through space exploration, no doubt) that God doesn't exist, therefore in the world of Star Trek, there is no religion. There are practices, like those of the Vulcans, but they do not worship any sort of deity.

While I'm a big Star Trek fan, I'm a Christian, and realize that Star Trek is a TV show.

All religions. Unlike the self-proclaimed Jedis we don't claim to have our own religion. Several years ago the fan club newsletter had a letter from a Greek Orthodox person hoping that an episode would show that earth religions had continued into the future, esp. as we saw alien religions. However all the weddings and funerals shown on ST were secular, in keeping with Gene Roddenberry's views.

There are "Trek" admirers of almost every faith living in almost every country of the world. Among them are senators and astronauts, school teachers, sanitation workers, grad students, nurses, doctors, engineers--practically every profession there is. Gene Roddenberry, the creator of the original and Next Generation shows, was an outspoken Humanist.
