Hello

I went to the doctor a few days ago, with what I thought was symptoms of a UTI. After taking tests they came back negative, but my doctor told me if I have any more problems he would send me to a kidney doctor. I have pains in the protsate once in awhile, and sometimes I have the strong urge to pee, and its the think white thing.

I've been with the same women for three years, and a few months before my pain started she was having pains in her lower back on the left side. I think that is where they said is a sign of kidney infection? She also has pain around her ovaries alot. These pains have been going on awhile now, but they were very rare, so we thought it was just period pain. Now they have increased, and it's become a daily thing. She is going to the doctor tommorow, and I was wondering what we should ask him?

What could this be please? Is this a UTI, STD, or some kind of other infection? Is there some other signs we should be looking for that we didn't? Thank you

Sorry, I mean a thick white urine, it also sometimes gives the urine a whiteish haze to it. Since I have had the testing, the urge to pee alot has stopped, and so has the white discharge.

What is that please? Would it go away like that after it having bothered me for awhile now? It used to come three times a week for both of us the different symptoms, now it's still daily for her, and it's not even happened for me since the testing four days ago.

Thank you again..

Also the symptoms I listed where the only ones we are aware of... No burning sensations or anything like that.

Both have been going on 3-4 months, and started out twice a month. They have now inscreased in the past week..

Her's is daily, and mine was for a week daily, but it stopped.

The first time she had pains for this, they hurt very very badly, but it went away quickly, and it never hurt like that again.

Me:
Thick discharge during urination
Urge to pee Often at times
Pains in prostate once in awhile

Her:
Lower back pain on the left side daily
Pain in ovaries daily

Oh also last thing, we both easily become dizzy as of the past few weeks. I'm not sure if this is related, but it started the same time that our daily symptoms did.

Also we are loyal to each other, and were getting married, so I would not think an STD would be causing this. We are both young, and we have had almost no relationships with any other people in our lifes.

Thank you for the help, Yes it was a urine test, and I toke it at the local hospital here. They said that everything looked fine, and that I seemed to not have a Uti. Thats when my doctor said if I keep having problems he would send me to a kidney specialists. I'm not to sure what the problem could be then...

Also when a Uti is in your kidneys, is a urine test able to pick it up?

Thanks again

What test did you undergo? Usually for UTI, Urine Analysis is done. What do you mean negative? The signs you gave are definitely for UTI. White haze in the urine is increased amount of Pus cells (white blood cell which is the body's primary defense for protection). For the girl, she better be seeing a doctor because for woman, if UTI continues untreated may lead to lower urinary tract tract infection which is more complicated and may mean more damage to the kidneys.I'm not a doctor but with the signs you gave, it is UTI.

If the test done is Urinalysis, check the White blood cell count and Cast formation.Hope this helps.Godbless

If your urine test appeared to be normal then it is not UTI bUT more of a kidney problem already. Yes, it can still be detected but not just a plain urine analysis but what we call as Microalbumin-Creatinine test. This will check if your kidneys are still functioning correctly. The difference between this test and the Urine test is that you already ruled out the idea of UTI (which primarily an infection due to large amount of bacteria present). But what bothers me a lot is what causing the white haze that you saw because from there I can tell that there is abormality already. To be sure, you might as well undergo blood test like BUN and Crea. These are the basic kidney function test. I hope i have helped you. It is better for you to seek also a kidney specialist's advice. As far as I know (as a laboratory analyst), these are the tests you can rely on for diagnosis of your case. God bless you.
