im not scared but she sits all the way across the room and it would be really random if i walked over there to talk....
any ideas?

Yeah it may seem random but hey how else r u going to meet her???? Will u ever kno if she likes u 2??? U could also join a club that she is joining.............hey it's worth a try......Good Luck!

Towards the end of class when everyone's getting their things gathered up and everyones getting ready to leave, walk on over there and ask her how her day is going. If you want to get to know her, you will have to take the first step. She probably won't think you're weird at all, in fact since shes new she will probably apreciate that you took the time to notice her and talk to her. She will most likely be more nervous than you. Since you two don't have a history you really have nothing to loose, so just go for it.

Be brave and go across the room to talk to her. Sometimes girls notice the effort guys put in just to talk to them and appreciate it! i say just go for it!

Try to say hi. Ask her where she is from? What she likes to do in life. Or you can ask her about the class or ask her for help or offer to help her out.
