for instance, in our local hospital I have heard the colors; pink, brown, gray, white, yellow, red, and of course, blue.

Color codes change from hospital to hospital, You're basics are Blue, or 99 which means Cardiac arrest, Red usually means fire. And they range from baby abductions, bomb threats, to violent visitors !

I really don't know this one and I would like to know...I was in the hospital for about 5-6 weeks so I heard lotsa codes being called...

I don't think anyone can say that all the codes are the same everywhere, but I would think so. We have all of those codes that you mention, but I can't tell you what all of those mean.

the only color code Iam familar with is code blue or blue cart which of course means someone is dying or needs the heart paddles.

these are different in different hospitals, indicating things like crashing patient, child abduction, violent patient or visitor, etc, good luck

these codes are universal... every color has a particular emergency..

black means there's a bomb threat. i saw that on grey's anatomy.
