Can one really become possessed?

Yes. The movie "The Exorcist" is based on a true story. That's part of the reason why it was so scary. There are also several accounts of demon possession in other countries (usually 3rd world) and in this country. There are even classes sanctioned by the Vatican and in various theological seminaries on the subject of exorcism and spiritual warfare.

I believe people can become possessed; there are documents stating as such, and were written clearly before all 'media' and were not attention-getter's.
As far as any successful exorcism, that I am not sure of. In some cases I've read, eventually the host body functioned normally again, and remembered little of the experience.

Yea this quite does not could be in this type. on an identical time as there is not any real evidence exorcisms are real there quite isn't the different explainations for individuals who look possessed for years at a time, atleast i be attentive to i could no longer shop a "loopy act" going for like 6 years. And in the event that they did..what may well be their reason?

i believe if the belief is strong enough then people will show signs of possesion
whether they are actually possesed by demons etc i cant say for sure ... but my belief is no
i find it strange that it is usually those from a strong faith that become possesed ( surely God would not allow this to happen to his people )
and if someone thinks they are possesed then it would only make sense for them to accept that a man of the cloth would be the one who can remove this from them
i have many reasons for not believing in possesion ... but i do not doubt that it is real for the person possesed

Excorcism and possesion is real like hypnosis is real, just like alien abduction is real. Simple minds are quite easily pursuaded. The images of all of these are readily available in mainstream media. I personally believe that an alien demon has possesed me and given me the power of hypnosis over you! You will do my bidding!
