avoidance of triggers, eg tension, sun, noise, nicotene etc. if you get 2 or more episodes a week then you need prophylactic therapy prescribed by doctor, if you get severe migraines, then you should consider abortive therapy also by prescription, good luck

First you need to determine the cause of the migraines... stress, sinuses & allergies, muscle tension. Think about pre-cursors or if you have any other pain before the migraine. Treat the cause of the migraine, the root of the problem and the migraines will subside. In the meantime, make drugs work for you. My physician prescribes Fiorinal that works amazingly well and allows me to sleep for 8-12 hours. Once the migraine has subsided, I highly recommend you go to your hairdresser and request a scalp massage with conditioner. You'll be asking for a cigarette when it's over... even if you never smoked!!!
Feel good my friend.

I don't think there is any best way to get rid of migraines. I get
them too, there is only prescription medication or there some
over the counter meds, to temporarily get rid of the pain. Use a
ice pack where the pain is triggering. Close all blinds, or Shut
off all lights and rest. Stay away from all caffeine, anything that
triggers your headaches. Eat a light meal to prevent headaches.
Sometimes when you don't eat that can trigger a headache. If I
don't eat I get headaches. Everyone is different. Peace and quite
that helps a lot. Just keep it the volume low ( TV or Music).

well, caffeine is like a drug,(not that it will kill you like crack or something) in your brain if you drink caffeine every day, your body starts to build up chemicals that give you that good awake feeling, when you do not drink caffeine your body goes throw withdraw symptoms(like if you try to stop drugs but not as bad) and when those chemicals in you brain get low you body who is used to them, starts to hurt and you feel like crap, that is why you get a migraine from not drinking coffee, that is your body telling you, hay you gave me caffeine every day, why did you not today. So how do you make that go away you drink more caffeine, and then those chemicals in your brain build up again, and you feel good again, it is the same way as if you are addicted to drugs, did you ever notice that the more days that you drink coffee the more you need to wake up the next day.

Sleep if possible.
If you can get away for an hour...take a nap in a dark, quiet room and take a couple Advils or whatever pain reliever works for you.
If it doesn't get any better...see a doctor.
