I am trying to tone up and drop a few pounds. I also have a friend who is about the same height and a year younger than me who claims her 95 pound body is ideal for her height and age (she is ll22 and only 5'1"). A few of us girls in our circle really think that is too small. I just want to know a good ideal weight for myself so I can achieve my goal and maybe help out my friend.

if you are 20 or older, just google BMI calculator and you will get a sight that explains the numbers and everything.. cdc.gov should have one if you can't find one you like. if you are 19 and younger type BMI Child Calculator.. the bmi data for people under the age of 20 is different from that of adults because it is set against a growth curve, you can't effectively use an adult calculator for children/adolescents

There really is no good chart on this sort of thing. Your ideal body weight doesn't just depend on height and age. You also need to take into consideration bone structure, muscle weight and metabolism. If your 95 pound friend has a small frame, and she doesn't appear sickly or emaciated then that works for her. What you should aim for is what looks and feels the best. Set a goal for pounds to lose (i.e. 5lbs by next month). Those body charts can actually be dangerous. I have two guy friends who are about 6'1 and one weighs 114 pounds, but is perfectly healthy. If the other friend attempted to weigh that he'd be dead.

Des, no longer attempting to get you down, yet get a Metropolitan coverage height and weight chart, ok. examine out inspite of it says for the three diverse sorts. both small, medium, or large. in the experience that your a teen or an oldster, it has little distinction. inspite of the MetLife chart says it somewhat is the way it really is, inspite of age? i think your impetus is reason your youthful and athletic? Hate to interrupt it to you, yet interior 2 or 4% there is no distinction because of age. Now in the experience that your doing steroids or HGH, that can make a distinction.
