If an athlete has a concussion, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, coaches, parents, or other students might notice that the injured player:

Is unsure of game, score, or opponent
Moves clumsily

Or the athlete himself might report the following symptoms if he has a concussion, including a:

Sensitivity to light or noise
Feeling sluggish
Feeling foggy or groggy

Vomiting is a reflex in manyu situations- shock, seizures, food poisoning, etc. It may be part of the 'fight or flight' reaction to pain or illness we have.

Many animals vomit when ill, stressed, threatened, handled, captured, etc. I suspect it is a combination of things:
- get rid of stuff that the body is using energy on so the body can do other things instead
- 'jettison ballast'- lighten up the body for other responses
- scare off or disgust an attacker

The instinct seems to be ancient if we share it with so many other animals. Old instincts often become confusing to understand when they are triggered by new behaviors, like coming out of anethesia, etc.

Some people have a reaction like that to the anesthesia and they throw up after the surgery. If one knows that they are prone to that, they can have a dose of anti-nausea meds to counter act the effects of the anesthesia.

You've asked Drs, medical experts (supposedly) and didn't like their answers so you're asking a bunch of muppets on the internet to come up with something better?!

Good Luck!!!
