The french kissing I used to do was pretty fun. You've played 'footsie' (usually you slip your foot out of a shoe and stroke the other person's lower leg or foot with your foot under a table as you talk or whatever) or did a soft stroking of the hands or fingers--then you are ready, you just do that with your tongue.
The open-mouthed kisses on the movies of recent years are intended to be suggestive of that (older movies had kisses that were straight lip contact only). When you kiss, open the mouth enough for one tongue to pass. If the other is not prepared, you might start with light flicking of your partner's lips, gently flicking along the crease between the two lips. If it opens, then (especially the unsuspecting) go gently and stroke short distances on the insides of the lips. Bring it back periodically to swallow your saliva, then probe for more and deeper. Reach in with your tongue and tickle or stroke the other tongue. Retreat and swallow, then stroke deeper. Point your tongue and do teasing twirls around the end of your partner's tongue, then stroke up and down the sides. Retreat and swallow, then stroke some more, perhaps pat the tongue, flipping yours against it. If your partner follows with his or her tongue sliding into your mouth, embrace it with your tongue and with your lips. Do a little back and forth motion with your mouth and some gentle, very gentle, sucking on your partner's tongue.
That's the basics, and meanwhile, you've got to do something with your hands, and meanwhile it gives the idea of still other things, related motions sometimes, that make for hints for still further things. It can be a lot of fun and it can get intense really, really fast once you get comfortable and familiar with your partner, but take it slow. Enjoy. Oh, and you might happen to pop in a breath mint a few minutes before and offer one to your partner.
