People always say family but some of my friends treat me better than my own family do. I belive that if you treat me with respect you will get it back I don't care if you are my Mom or my friend that I just met at a party. I won't stick up for my family if they are in the wrong so why do so many people do it even if the family is in the wrong?

My family is everything to me ... most of them are screwed up and don't know how to live on their own without my help or other family members help but .. it's family .. and you want what's best for ALL of them even if they're wrong ... you still show support ... !
Yes you treat others the way you want to be treated ... but family doesn't have to be respectful ... they know you're always going to be there no matter what ... and that's the way it should be ... !
I would feel hurt if my cousins or brothers cared about their friends more than me ... you might not think it now but friends come and go throughout your whole life ... the ones that get close to you and your family are the true friends ... !

Stick towhat is right and the truth at all times. If its ur family...then stick with them as long as they are right and if its ur friends then sitick to them if they are right. But umust remember if there is a tie..ur family should come first coz ur mom and family took care of when u were little and what ever ur friends respect u today for is a direct product of whta ur family gave u. Ask ur friends for the school, hospital, food expenditures that ur family spent on u and the care they took of u when ucouldnt wal, talk or eat and ull see that ur friends will freak out! Its easy to be friend with a persons good qualities. But its tough to create these qualities in a person. Ur family has done alot for u. Dont ever forget that!! Keep cool

Whoever said you can buy your friends you can buy family as well . My family treats me like crap and my friends treat me well so I always do for my friends way before I do for my family. It all depends on YOUR family , if you are being mistreated then screw them. Thats how I see it. Don't let anyone on here tell you to choose anything thats your decision.

I will stick up for my family, they were the first human beings to show me love and care. friends come and go but family will always be around if you need them.

It depends who I agree with. If I agree with the friend, then I'll side with them. Most of the time its my family though.

wrong is wrong..... but I would be careful of HOW you stick up for your friends..... leaving behind family and burning those bridges is a dangerous thing..... some times the can NOT be rebuilt.... say your peace and let it go....... God bless
