Yes, that's normal, especially for indoor cats who have no other way of exploring and playing than with things around the house. My cats do that all the time.

LOL! you don't be attentive to lots approximately "organic-bread" cats first it extremely is spelled breed or bred. long furred monster?? familiar egyptian cat? There are quite a few breeds that are a organic breed and function long, medium and short fur. i haven't met a protracted furred monster cat coming from any breeder. till it extremely is a foul breeder. The Maine Coon is a organic breed from america. Originated the state of Maine. examine up on the breed. And with a "organic-Bread" cat you do be attentive to what to anticipate in well being and temperament and for sure attractiveness is interior the attention of the beholder. With a "familiar cat" you don't be attentive to its historic past what's interior the relatives strains, what genetic defaults, well being themes are. Now declaring that kittens from an identical muddle can develop up in yet otherwise only as any brother and sister they gained't all be an identical. Genetics performs a great section in that. i won't be in a position to comprehend why human beings call others names only because of the fact they have diverse evaluations. No 2 human beings think of, look or act alike and all could be respected for their likes and evaluations whether they at the instant are not what you have confidence in. R P Cat Maine Coons YEP a style of "organic-Breads" LOL

I have seen cats do this, to objects that are out of place, it curiosity, they may not recognize it cause it's not in it's normal place. The only other time I have seen a cat act this was, was when he was loosing his site, but if that were the case, your cat would be bumping into objects also. So i would just write it of as normal, he just protecting his territory against and abnormality's! Making sure that towel is completely harmless! : )

Yes, it is normal cat behavior. They get used to their environment and when anything changes they have to check it out. My cat checks out everything unfamiliar that is left in her path; some more cautiously than others. If she is walking across the floor and steps on something she didn't see, it freaks her out and she will jump straight up in the air. She sometimes does this with my daughter's game controller cord because it blends into my carpet.

Isn't that strange! My cats do the excact same thing sometimes! The reason they do this is becuase either the object has an unfamiliar smell on it or the cat thinks it is something strange or new and it wants to investigate it. If they jump, the smell just startles them.

Sarah, Cats are natural born hunters. A lot of kitties need to check out and explore everything they possibly can, and if they find something that moves (a bug, for instance), or that they think moved when they touched it (the towel) it will hold their interest at least for a little while while they check it out. :) It's totally normal. Believe me, I've got 4 little spaz-kitties of my own. :)

Totally normal! Sometimes they are just playing - other times, the object looks strange to them and they don't recognize it. The towel may have been wadded up funny and he couldn't quite make out what it is - so he had to investigate. Perfectly normal.

Cats have to earn their living! You are buying her food and in return it's her duty to entertain you.
If my cat gets too boring and doesn't want to have a cuddle, I will just stop feeding her! She will then start fishing for the gold fish in the tank. (Better than watching TV and on those rare occasions I actually DON'T mind that my partner brought those pointless creatures.)

Yeah cats do this all the time. It's sorta new to them and they want to see how the object reacts. They're just learning about their environment. Kitty will stop when he gets older.

my cat does it, shes paranoid. she never stops doing it. shes about 3 years old now. she still does it. she's always done it. and if the TV makes a little "clunk" noise when you turn it off, she jumps and runs off out of the room too. she's just petrified of anything and everything. sometimes she'll jump right out of her sleep for nothing, and run off. do they make prozac for cats?
really, its a sign of poor eye sight or lack of intelligence. i think my cats slightly on the loopy side, but i can be too.
