Personally, I lost about 10 pounds when I first started taking it. Other than that, I was occasionally tired the first 2 months, but that went away around month three.

I have a friend who developed a problem with stuttering. I think he is drinking alcohol and self medicating, too, so I can't blame it on the Zoloft 100% I took Paxil and it made me gain weight like crazy. It also made me feel better by actually making me not care about anything. Weird. I had terrible withdrawal when I came off it, too. It was like someone walking up behind me and yanking me so hard by the collar that my eyes shook. I described this to my MD and he told me Paxil had no withdrawal symptoms...I am sitting there telling him what's going on and he denying it to my face. They hate documenting that stuff.

Zoloft had no effect on me whatsoever, not good or bad. I think it all depends on you, what you are use to taking and the tolerance you have for medications. It was the first or ant-depressants that I tried and I had to move on to stronger things.

I felt very depressed a couple of years ago after loosing my dad and my doctor prescribed Zoloft to me. Let me tell you, it made things worse. I had to stop taking it after a couple of weeks, I wanted to shoot myself, for real. The good thing is that after I stopped taking it, I felt a lot better!

I actually twitched my leg a lot, especially in bed. I would also sit on the couch and shake my foot/leg constantly. I still do it a little now that I'm on Celexa, but not nearly as much as before.
