1. Jehovah's Witnesses are Christians.
2. A sacrament is a religious ceremony imparting merit; Jehovah's Witnesses do not recognize any ceremony as imparting merit intrinsically. Water baptism without heartfelt dedication is useless.
3. Jehovah's Witnesses do not currently use the term 'high calling' because this non-biblical term does not have an unambiguous definition. Decades ago, Jehovah's Witnesses occasionally refered to the heavenly hope of the 144,000 as a 'high calling'; it does include both men and women. Similarly, the preaching work is performed by both men and women (and boys and girls).
4. Jehovah's Witnesses recommend clean, modest attire appropriate to the needs of the task or occasion. Ostentation is frowned upon, as is long hair on men. Witnesses do not wear religious icons or items which would identify them with an organization at cross-purposes with God's.
5. Jehovah's Witnesses do not like the terms "ritual" and "ritualistic", but their thrice-yearly baptisms and their annual observances of the Lord's Evening Meal could possibly fit a loose definition of 'ritualistic ceremonies'.
6. Jehovah's Witnesses do not have any symbology associated with their religion.
7. Jehovah's Witnesses do have strong beliefs about family.
8. Jehovah's Witnesses do not celebrate nationalistic or so-called "religious" holidays.
9. Jehovah's Witnesses do not espouse any particular architecture, other than economy, safety, and practicality. They believe that crosses and church spires both have pagan origins.
10. Jehovah's Witnesses do have missionary programs, but every active Witness performs a regular public ministry personally. Witnesses do not "recruit", they preach to glorify and warn. While their preaching tends to lead to growth, this is a side benefit rather than a primary motive.
11. Jehovah's Witnesses are entirely impartial; their meetings are open to the public. Anyone who lives a godly lifestyle and expresses an informed conviction to do God's will can qualify for baptism as a Jehovah's Witness.
12. Jehovah's Witnesses believe in Christ Jesus the Son, Almighty God Jehovah, and the Holy Spirit as God's active force.
13. The majority of Jehovah's Witnesses still convert from Christendom, but fewer and fewer were affiliated with a specific denomination.
14. The majority of Jehovah's Witness Kingdom Halls actually *DO* have windows.

Jehovah's Witnesses understand heaven to refer to the dwelling place of spirit creatures such as Jesus and the angels. They understand the Scriptures to teach that exactly 144,000 humans will join Christ Jesus as kings and priests to administer God's Kingdom (which will soon replace all earthly governments).
(Daniel 2:44) God of heaven will set up a kingdom... It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite
(Revelation 14:1) Lamb [Jesus] standing upon the Mount Zion, and with him a hundred and forty-four thousand
(Revelation 20:6) they will be priests of God and of the Christ, and will rule as kings with him

Over whom will they rule? Over the vast majority of mankind, most of whom will have been raised from the dead after Armageddon.
(John 11:23,24) Jesus said to her: “Your brother will rise.” Martha said to him: “I know he will rise in the resurrection on the last day.”

Hell is NOT someplace/something mankind needs to fear; there is no suffering in the grave. Sometime after the resurrection, death and "hell" will themselves be destroyed.
(Ecclesiastes 9:5) For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all
(Ecclesiastes 9:10) there is no work nor devising nor knowledge nor wisdom in Sheol ["hell"]
(Revelation 20:14) And death and Hades ["hell"] were hurled into the lake of fire

Almighty Jehovah God selects those few who have the heavenly calling. Each person "feels" his own hope and each person's hope remains unquestioned by his fellow Christians. Still the vast majority (literally more than 99.9%) of Jehovah's Witnesses expect an EARTHLY hope, the same hope given to Adam and Eve.
(Genesis 1:28) God blessed them and God said to them: “Be fruitful and become many and fill THE EARTH and subdue it [caps added]
(Genesis 2:17) You must not eat from it, for in the day you eat from it you will positively die [so never eating from that tree means never dying]

I am Roman Catholic.

There are traditionally seven sacraments, but the two most commonly observed sacraments are Holy Eucharist (Communion) and Baptism.

Men hold positions of authority in the Church, but not women.

Our church typically promotes modesty in dress, but doesn't have set rules for clothing or jewelry.

Yes, the Mass is rather ritualistic.

Yes, we have many lovely crucifixes, statuary, medals and crosses to choose from.

Yes, the Church is strongly family-oriented.

Abortion is condemned by the church, as well as capital punishment. Artificial birth control is frowned upon. Also, we are advised not to participate in Communion at other churches.

There is a wide variety of architecture in our churches. Sometimes, there is symbolism in the cathedrals, and other church buildings are more functional than symbolic.

We do have missionaries.

All people are invited to "come home to Rome" (that is, convert to Catholicism), but we don't just take people off the street. There are classes to attend. One must be properly catechized.

Yes, we are Trinitarians.

I was born into an Italian Catholic family, and hence, had no need to convert to Catholicism. I was already there.

Oh, I see you've added an extra question. The reason we pray to Mary is because she holds a special place in our theology. She was chosen by God to be the earthly mother of Jesus Christ, and is therefore blessed above all women. How could Christ in Heaven turn a deaf ear to His own mother? She is seen as a mediator. And who says we don't have statues of Jesus? Sitting right outside my church is a statue of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

You're right, a true Christian does not hate. He hates what is bad and false, but not any person. He would actually show principled love to that person by setting a good example and trying to help him learn to do better. The thing is that many professed Christians simply *don't* believe the Bible. There are so many who think that 'Jesus accepts you as you are' and live or condone lifestyles that the Bible condemns. Also, they believe things that are not Bible teachings, but come from paganism. There are just some things that is it absolutely NOT up to humans to decide, but there are a lot of people who think that they can. You're also right in hinting that there should be unity among Christians. There should also be doctrinal unity, but some people believe Jesus is God's son, some say he's God himself. Some people say God torments people forever in hellfire, others say that he's far too loving for that evil idea. Some say the human soul is immortal, some say it is the person themselves and so dies when the person dies. In all 3 of these cases, both simple cannot be right and true and one person believing it will not make it true for him. Our opinions won't alter facts! There are also some churches that actively spread misinformation and fear-inspiring lies about other groups leading to fear and prejudice. I've seen that happen only too often and the rudeness of these misled people makes me feel very sorry for them and quite certain that they are not being taught Christian truth. 'By their fruits you will know them', said Christ.... Christ also said that many people claiming to follow him would be rejected by him (but he did NOT say that they would be forgiven for not getting it right!), that his true followers would be in the minority and would be no part of the world and hated by it, and that we had to look for love as an identifying factor of the true Christian congregation. That would naturally eliminate each and every church who have involvement in the military or politics at any level, any who are involved in sex and business scandals and who treat others with rudeness and prejudice. A few things to think about anyway.=)
